AI presentation maker pricing, October 2026 — NOXI blog cover: what 16 AI slide tools cost, with free plans, credits and cost per deck from official pricing pages

Disclosure: NOXI publishes this price index and is one of the 16 tools in it. Every price, plan and allowance below was read on the vendor's own pricing or help page on 15 October 2026, and the scoring method, weights and anchors are published so you can check each cell. NOXI is scored by the same anchors and does not come first.

Quick answer: On 15 October 2026, AI presentation makers' paid entry plans list at $8.33 to $20 a month per person, billed annually where offered: Microsoft 365 Personal $8.33, Gamma Plus $9, Canva Pro $12, Beautiful.ai Pro $14.50, ChatGPT Plus $20. At 20 decks a month that is $0.42 to $1 a deck. Canva Free, ChatGPT Free and NOXI cost $0.

Pricing pages for AI presentation tools change often, and the comparison pages that rank for them disagree with each other on the same plan. This index takes one approach: open each vendor's own pricing or help page on the same day, record the same fields for every tool, and turn list prices into a cost per deck and a cost per team. It is a documented price and capability index, not a new hands-on test of output quality.

  • CheckedOfficial pages only, opened 15 October 2026, US prices unless a page showed another currency. Prices exclude tax and change often.

The verdict: the cheapest route for each need

The cheapest AI presentation maker depends on where the finished deck has to live. A free web tool, an AI add-in inside PowerPoint and a five-seat team plan are three different purchases, so the table below names the lowest documented price for each need, with the main condition attached.

NeedLowest documented routeThe condition (from the vendor's page)
$0 and an editable .pptxNOXI, or Canva FreeNOXI: 1,000 credits a month, a deck uses about 25, PowerPoint and PDF export with no watermark. Canva Free: up to 20 AI uses a month; designs with premium elements download as a watermarked draft unless licensed.

AI inside PowerPoint, paidMicrosoft 365 Personal, $99.99 a yearCopilot in PowerPoint for the subscription owner, with usage limits Microsoft does not quantify.
AI inside Google SlidesGoogle AI Pro, $19.99 a monthFull-deck generation in Slides is listed for paid tiers; English (United States) at launch.
One person, a few decks a monthGamma Plus, $9 a month billed annually1,000 credits a month, Gamma branding removed; Free has 400 credits that do not refresh.
Five people with central billingClaude Team, $1,200 a year$20 a seat a month billed annually, 2 to 150 seats, with SSO and central billing listed.
Brand-locked decks, many authorsBeautiful.ai Team, $40 a user a month billed annuallyLocked slides and a shared slide library; no free plan, and the trial needs a card.

Two of these routes depend on software you may already pay for. ChatGPT for PowerPoint and Claude for PowerPoint run inside Microsoft PowerPoint, and Gemini's deck builder runs inside Google Slides, so their real cost is the add-in plus the editor licence. For a wider look at the add-in route, see our ranking of AI add-ins for PowerPoint.

What changed: dated pricing news from official pages

The pricing changes that matter this autumn are a Microsoft discount that ends on 31 December 2026, a new free usage pool on Genspark's paid plans from 18 September, and AI deck builders that now sit inside PowerPoint and Google Slides. Each item below is stated on the vendor's own page; where a page gives no date, the row says so.

WhenToolWhat the official page saysWhy it matters for your budget
30 Jun 2026Gemini in Google SlidesFull multi-slide decks from one prompt, grounded in Drive files, with an existing deck as the style reference. Listed for Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Google AI Pro and Ultra, and Google AI Pro for Education. Promotional higher limits ran through at least 1 August 2026; per-user limits apply after that [11].The deck builder is a paid-tier feature, so the Slides route starts at a paid plan.
1 Jul – 31 Dec 2026Microsoft 365 Copilot BusinessThe add-on is shown at $18 a user a month paid yearly, down from $21, as a discount offer available between 1 July and 31 December 2026, for existing customers on an eligible Business plan [9].Budget for the $21 list price when renewals fall after the offer ends.
18 Sep 2026GensparkPlus and Pro gained Free Quota: a weekly balance for Standard-mode tasks, AI Slides included, at no credit cost. The page says the membership benefits are valid through 30 June 2027 [18].Standard-mode decks on Plus may not consume the 10,000 monthly credits.

Prices on third-party "pricing comparison" pages often differ from the vendors' own pages because they were captured at another time or in another country. The safe rule for any purchase is the one this index follows: the vendor's live page, in your own currency, on the day you buy.

How we priced and scored: official pages, one day, published weights

Every figure in this index comes from the vendor's own pricing page or help centre, opened in a browser on 15 October 2026, because several pricing pages render their numbers by script and show different values to automated readers. The index records five fields for every tool and turns them into a cost per deck and a team cost. It is a documented-capability and list-price comparison, not a test of how good each tool's slides are.

The five fields recorded for every tool

  1. Free plan: what is metered (credits, AI uses, slides per prompt), what refreshes, and what the vendor says about branding or watermarks and export.
  2. Entry paid plan: the cheapest plan that removes the vendor's branding or unlocks the documented deck workflow, at annual and monthly billing.
  3. What is metered on paid plans: credits, "up to" ranges, fair-use wording or a flat price.
  4. Team price: the published per-seat price and the admin features listed with it.
  5. Education and nonprofit pricing: only what the vendor's page states.

The value score: six criteria, 100 points

Each tool is scored 1 to 5 on six criteria; the total is the sum of weight × score divided by 5, so a perfect sheet is 100. A point is awarded only for what the vendor states; "not stated" scores as absent. Add-ins that run inside PowerPoint or Google Slides are scored on the add-in's own price, and the editor licence is noted separately.

CriterionWeightWhat a 5 meansWhat a 1 means
Entry price25$0 for the documented deck workflow with a refreshing allowance and no vendor branding. A 4 is up to $10 a month, a 3 is $10.01 to $15, a 2 is $15.01 to $20.Above $20 a month, or no self-serve price.
Free plan20A monthly allowance for several full decks, no card, and export without branding documented. A 4 is a one-time pool or a refreshing allowance with branding or export limits; a 3 is a small, capped or export-less allowance; a 2 is a trial with no card stated. No free use, or a trial that requires a card.
Metering clarity10The vendor states what one deck costs in its unit, or the price is flat with no AI meter. A 4 is a stated monthly allowance in credits; a 3 is "up to" ranges or fair-use wording; a 2 is "limited" or "higher than free" with no numbers. Not stated.
Team and admin15A self-serve team plan with a published per-seat price, central billing and SSO or identity management listed. A 4 is a team plan with central billing but SSO only on enterprise; a 3 is a team plan with no admin detail; a 2 is per-account use with sharing and co-editing.Single user only.
Education and nonprofit10Free premium access for schools, teachers or nonprofits is stated. A 4 is a published education price or a free year for students; a 3 is a free plan students can use, or an education offer with no price shown.Nothing stated and no free plan.
Inside PowerPoint or Google Slides20The AI runs inside PowerPoint or Google Slides, so the deck is a native file from the start. A 3 is generation in the tool's own app with an editable .pptx or Google Slides export with no plan restriction stated; a 2 is that export on paid plans only.No PowerPoint or Google Slides export documented (PDF or images only).

Why these weights. The index is about what you pay, so the two price criteria carry 45 points. Where the deck ends up carries 20, because a deck that must be edited in PowerPoint by colleagues changes which tool is cheapest in practice. Teams, metering and education carry the last 35. Three of the 16 tools are not scored: Pitch and SlidesAI showed prices only in euros and UAE dirhams, which the dollar bands cannot compare fairly, and Napkin AI makes visuals rather than full decks. Their prices are still in the table.

The price table: 16 AI presentation makers on 15 October 2026

Conflicts we found on the vendors' own pages. Beautiful.ai's Team card reads "$40 /MO (includes 3 users)", while the same page's summary and FAQ say $40 per user per month billed annually; this index uses the per-user figure, the more expensive reading [6]. Presentations.AI shows 5,000 credits on the Pro card and labels the comparison row "AI Credits (annual)", so ask before assuming a monthly refill [26]. For a design-focused head-to-head of three of these tools, see Gamma vs Canva vs Beautiful.ai.

Cost per deck at 4 and 20 decks a month

Cost per deck is the monthly price divided by the decks you make in that month: a $9 plan used for 4 decks costs $9 ÷ 4 = $2.25 a deck, and the same plan used for 20 decks costs $9 ÷ 20 = $0.45. On annual billing, the monthly price is the annual price divided by 12. At 20 decks a month, every paid entry plan in this index costs $1 or less a deck.

Bar chart of cost per deck for one person on annual billing where offered, list prices on 15 October 2026. At 4 and 20 decks a month: NOXI 0 and 0 dollars; Canva Free 0 and 0; Microsoft 365 Personal 2.08 and 0.42; Gamma Plus 2.25 and 0.45; Plus AI Basic 2.50 and 0.50; Beautiful.ai Pro 3.63 and 0.73; Prezi Plus 3.75 and 0.75; Claude Pro and Manus Pro 4.25 and 0.85; ChatGPT Plus, Google AI Pro, Genspark Plus and Presentations.AI Pro 5.00 and 1.00.
Volume matters more than the plan: every paid entry plan drops to $1 or less a deck at 20 decks a month.
Plan (one person)Monthly price used4 decks a month20 decks a month

The catch in the arithmetic. The formula assumes the plan's allowance covers your volume. Only a few vendors say what one deck costs: NOXI states about 25 credits a deck, Canva counts a presentation as one Premium AI use, and Beautiful.ai and Prezi Plus do not meter AI generation. Gamma meters credits per slide and per image, so a long, image-heavy deck costs more than a short one [2]; Genspark's Standard mode uses half the credits of Ultra [19]. Before you buy for 20 decks a month, make one typical deck on the trial or free plan and read the credit balance before and after.

Monthly billing changes the picture for occasional users. Beautiful.ai Pro is $45 billed monthly against $14.50 billed annually, so a one-month project costs $45 for however many decks you make; Gamma Plus is $12 monthly against $9 [1][6]. If you only need decks for one busy month a year, a monthly plan for that month can cost less than an annual plan you barely use.

The value scores: Canva 89, ChatGPT for PowerPoint 86, NOXI 79

On the six published criteria, Canva and ChatGPT for PowerPoint lead, NOXI is third, and Gamma and Microsoft 365 Copilot follow. Canva scores highest because its free plan includes AI presentations, it states that one presentation counts as one Premium AI use, and its education programme is free for K-12 schools and nonprofits; ChatGPT for PowerPoint because its add-in is available on the free plan, works inside PowerPoint and comes with a free teacher plan in the US. NOXI scores full marks on the three price criteria and lower on teams, education programmes and in-editor AI.

Heat map of value scores for 13 AI presentation makers on six weighted criteria: entry price 25, free plan 20, metering clarity 10, team and admin 15, education 10, inside PowerPoint or Google Slides 20. Free plans lift the top three; team plans and in-editor AI are where most paid tools earn their points.

Re-weighted for a team buyer

The order depends on who is paying, which is why the weights are published. A team buyer who cares most about admin and about working inside the office suite might set team and admin to 35, inside PowerPoint or Slides to 30, entry price to 15, metering to 10, and free plan and education to 5 each. Under that lens ChatGPT for PowerPoint scores 92, Microsoft 365 Copilot 86, Claude and Canva 81, Gamma and Plus AI 80, Gemini in Google Slides 79, Manus 74, Prezi 67, NOXI 65, Beautiful.ai 64, Genspark 60 and Presentations.AI 44. For a company standardising on one tool with SSO and central billing, the paid suites earn their price.

How each tool earned its score

  • ChatGPT for PowerPoint (86). Entry 5: the add-in is on the Free plan with limited usage. Free plan 3: the allowance is not quantified. Metering 2: "limited" and "agentic usage limit" without numbers. Team 5: Business lists SAML SSO and central billing. Education 5: ChatGPT for Teachers is free for verified US K-12 educators through June 2027 [13][14]. Best when: you already have PowerPoint and want AI drafting inside the file you deliver.
  • Canva (89). Entry 5 and free plan 5: AI presentations within up to 20 AI uses a month, with downloads watermarked only when they contain unlicensed premium elements. Metering 5: Canva states that a presentation is one Premium AI use, though the monthly allowances themselves are "up to" estimates [4]. Team 4: Business at US$250 a year per person. Education 5: most premium features free for K-12 schools and nonprofits [3][5]. Best when: you design by hand after the AI draft and present from Canva or a PDF.
  • NOXI (79). Entry, free plan and metering 5: $0, 1,000 credits a month, about 25 credits a deck, editable PowerPoint and PDF with no watermark. Team 2: decks are shared by email or link with real-time co-editing and version history. Education 3: the free plan serves students without a separate programme. Inside the editor 3: the deck is made in NOXI and exported as an editable .pptx. Our pick for: a free, editable PowerPoint built from your own files or in the style of your own template, at up to about 40 decks a month per account.
  • Gamma (77). Entry 4: Plus at $9 removes branding. Free plan 4: 400 one-time credits and branded exports. Metering 4: monthly credits with roll-over up to double the plan. Team 5: Business at $40 a seat with SSO [1][2]. Best when: one person makes a few decks a month and wants a designed web deck or a .pptx fast.
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot (73). Entry 4: Personal works out to $8.33 a month. Free plan 2: a one-month trial. Metering 2: "higher than free" and "extensive" without numbers. Team 5 and inside the editor 5: Business Standard with Copilot at $23.50 a user and Copilot built into PowerPoint [7][8]. Best when: your organisation already runs on Microsoft 365.
  • Claude (67) and Manus (67). Both score 2 on entry price because their export or PowerPoint route starts on a $17 plan; both score 5 on teams. Claude adds Claude for PowerPoint from Pro; Manus adds a daily free allowance and a documented .pptx export [16][17][20][22].
  • Plus AI (66), Prezi (64), Gemini in Google Slides (59), Beautiful.ai (57), Genspark (56), Presentations.AI (48). Plus AI and Gemini work inside the editors but have no free plan for decks; Prezi and Beautiful.ai have flat, unmetered AI on paid plans but no free PowerPoint export; Genspark and Presentations.AI put PowerPoint export on paid plans [6][11][19][24][25][26].

Free plans compared: what each one meters, and the catch

A free plan is useful when it refreshes and lets you export a clean file; a one-time credit pool or a branded export is a trial in practice. Six of the 16 tools have a refreshing free allowance, three have a one-time or capped pool, two state a credit amount without saying whether it refreshes, and three have no free plan for decks. The table states each vendor's own wording, not an estimate.

Claude's Free plan lists Claude Slides with usage limits, and Microsoft gives a free Microsoft account limited Copilot usage overall; neither page states what a free user can export from a deck, so they are not in the refreshing group above [7][16]. For a deeper look at free routes only, our guide to the best free AI presentation maker compares them on output as well as price.

Credits explained: one-time, monthly, daily and fair use

A credit is a vendor's unit for AI work; what matters is what one deck costs in credits, whether the balance refreshes, and whether unused credits roll over. Vendors in this index use four models: a one-time pool (Gamma Free, Pitch Free), a monthly allowance (NOXI, Gamma paid plans, Canva, Pitch paid plans, Plus AI), a daily refill (Manus, Genspark Free) and no meter at all on paid plans (Beautiful.ai, Prezi Plus).

  • Gamma. Credits are metered per slide and per image; plan credits refill monthly on annual and monthly plans and roll over up to double the plan size, so Plus can hold up to 2,000. Purchased credits never expire while the plan is active and do not count toward the cap. After cancelling, the account returns to Free with 400 credits [2].
  • Canva. One shared monthly AI allowance covers Standard, Premium and Ultra tools at different rates and resets each month; on paid plans most Standard tools do not draw from it, under a fair-use limit. AI Pass is a monthly add-on and AI top-ups a one-time purchase [3].
  • Genspark. Plus and Pro credits are monthly; Free Quota adds a weekly balance for Standard-mode tasks that resets 7 days after your first message, and tasks switch to credits when it runs out [18].
  • Manus. Paid plans combine a monthly credit amount with 300 refresh credits a day [20].
  • NOXI. Each account gets a monthly allowance of 1,000 credits, and a full deck uses about 25.

When a vendor says only "limited" or "higher usage than free", as ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft do for their assistants, you cannot convert the plan into decks before buying. Treat those plans as a flat fee and track how many decks you make in the first month.

Inside PowerPoint and Google Slides: what the AI add-ins cost

Four AI routes build or edit decks inside the editors themselves: Copilot in PowerPoint, ChatGPT for PowerPoint, Claude for PowerPoint and Gemini in Google Slides, plus Plus AI as a third-party add-in for both. Their price is the add-in plan plus the editor licence, and their output is a native file from the first slide.

RouteLowest plan listedWhat it includesEditor needed
Copilot in PowerPointMicrosoft 365 Personal, $99.99 a yearCopilot in Word, Excel and PowerPoint for the subscription owner, usage limits apply [7]Included in the plan
Copilot for businessBusiness Standard with Copilot, $23.50 a user a month paid yearlyApps, email and Copilot; or the Copilot Business add-on at $18 to 31 Dec 2026 [8][9]Included in the plan
ChatGPT for PowerPointChatGPT Free (limited)Create, edit and review decks in a PowerPoint sidebar; Plus $20 a month for more usage [14][15]Microsoft PowerPoint
Claude for PowerPointClaude Pro, $17 a month billed annuallyGenerally available to Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise [17]Microsoft PowerPoint
Gemini in Google SlidesGoogle AI Pro, $19.99 a monthFull decks from one prompt with Drive files and a style deck; English (US) at launch [11][12]Google Slides
Plus AIBasic, $10 a user a month billed annually1,500 credits a month in Google Slides and PowerPoint [25]Either editor

The in-editor route is the cheapest when the editor is already paid for and the deck must stay a native file for colleagues to edit. It costs more when you would buy the suite only for the AI. Our comparison of Copilot vs Gemini vs ChatGPT for presentations covers how the three assistants differ beyond price, and Google Slides vs PowerPoint covers the editors themselves.

Students, teachers and nonprofits: the education prices

Education pricing is where the big suites lead: Canva gives most premium features free to K-12 schools and nonprofits, OpenAI offers a free ChatGPT for Teachers plan for verified US K-12 educators through June 2027, and Prezi and Beautiful.ai publish student offers. Students without a programme use the free plans.

  • Canva. K-12 educators, their students and qualified schools use Canva Education; Canva Campus covers higher education; nonprofits get a free subscription with Pro features for one team of up to 50 users [3].
  • ChatGPT. ChatGPT for Teachers is free for verified US K-12 educators through June 2027; ChatGPT Edu is a paid plan for universities, and ChatGPT for PowerPoint is available to Edu and K-12 users [13][14].
  • Prezi. EDU Plus $4 a month and EDU Pro $8 a month billed annually, with a school email required [24].
  • Beautiful.ai. A year free for students with a valid .edu email [6].
  • Claude, Google, Microsoft. Claude lists a university-wide Education plan at discounted rates; Google lists Google AI Pro for Education for Gemini in Slides; Microsoft links a college student offer. None of these pages showed a price [7][11][16].
  • Gamma, Genspark, Manus, Plus AI, Napkin. No education price on the pages checked; Napkin states it has no student or nonprofit discount [27].
  • NOXI. The same free plan for everyone: no card, 1,000 credits a month, editable PowerPoint export.

For class decks specifically, our guide for students choosing an AI presentation maker weighs these routes on citations and file formats as well as price.

Teams: what 5 seats cost per year

A team's annual cost is the seat price × 12 × the number of seats. For five people on annual list prices, the documented team routes run from $1,080 (Gamma Pro, without SSO) to $2,400 (Gamma Business or Beautiful.ai Team), with Claude Team and Plus AI Pro at $1,200 and Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot at $1,410.

Team planArithmetic (5 seats, annual)Per yearWhat the seat adds
NOXI5 free accounts$05 × 1,000 credits a month; share decks by email or link and edit together in real time.

At 20 seats the same formula gives $4,800 for Claude Team, US$5,000 for Canva Business, $5,640 for Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot and $9,600 for Gamma Business or Beautiful.ai Team, whose Team plan covers 2 to 20 seats. Microsoft's and Google's seats buy a whole office suite, so compare them with what you would otherwise pay for email and documents, not only with slide tools.

Example A five-person consultancy prices its deck tool (fictional). Cedar & Line, a fictional five-person consultancy, makes 30 client decks a month, 6 per person, and delivers each as an editable PowerPoint. That is 30 × 12 = 360 decks a year. On annual list prices: Gamma Plus for five costs 5 × $108 = $540, or $540 ÷ 360 = $1.50 a deck, if 1,000 credits a month cover 6 decks per person, which Gamma's per-slide metering makes worth checking. Claude Team costs $1,200, or $3.33 a deck. Canva Business costs US$1,250, or $3.47 a deck. Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot costs $1,410, or $3.92 a deck, and also replaces the firm's email and Office licences. On NOXI, 6 decks × about 25 credits = about 150 credits a month per person, inside each account's 1,000, so $0 a deck.

The cheapest line is not automatically the right one. If Cedar & Line's clients need single sign-on audits or the firm wants one invoice and an admin console, the Claude, Microsoft or Gamma Business seats buy that; if the team just needs clean decks in its own template, the per-deck figures above are the honest comparison.

Regional prices: why your price may differ

Several vendors show prices in the visitor's local currency, and some adjust them by country, so the US figures in this index are a reference, not your invoice. On 15 October 2026 our browser was shown euros by Google Workspace and Pitch, and UAE dirhams by ChatGPT and SlidesAI; Canva's US page showed US dollars.

  • Presentations.AI says its listed prices are for the US and that your price may vary by country to adjust for purchasing power parity [26].
  • Canva, Gamma and Claude state that prices exclude tax or are subject to tax by location [1][3][16].
  • Google Workspace showed introductory discounts for new customers on top of the list price; this index uses the list price [10].
  • SlidesAI showed a time-limited discount with a countdown, so its prices may change within days [28].

Readers in India, the UK or the Gulf should open each pricing page from their own country before budgeting, and compare annual against monthly billing in that currency; the percentage saving on annual billing (Manus's toggle says 17%, though its listed $17 against $20 is 15%; about 17% at Pitch; up to 28% at Gamma; 16% at Google Workspace) is usually stated next to the toggle.

What paid plans add that free plans do not

Paid plans in this index buy five things that free plans rarely include: removal of the vendor's branding, more AI per month, brand controls, team administration and analytics. If you need any of them, the free route is not a like-for-like substitute.

  • Branding removed. Gamma Plus, Pitch Plus, Prezi Plus and Napkin Plus list it explicitly [1][23][24][27].
  • Brand controls. Gamma Pro adds custom branding; Plus AI Team adds team-wide branding and templates; Beautiful.ai Team adds custom branded themes and locked slides; Prezi Teams adds a customised brand kit [1][6][24][25].
  • Administration. SSO appears on Gamma Business, Claude Team, Manus Team and ChatGPT Business; SCIM, audit logs and advanced permissions are on enterprise tiers [1][13][16][21].
  • Analytics and sharing. Gamma Pro lists detailed analytics and custom domains; Pitch and Beautiful.ai list viewer and slide analytics; Prezi Premium lists presentation analytics [1][6][23][24].
  • API and agents. Gamma Pro lists API access; Claude Max includes monthly API credits; Plus AI Max is aimed at daily agent use [1][16][25].

Security documentation is another paid-tier item: Gamma states it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and offers SOC 2 documentation on Business, and Beautiful.ai lists its certifications on Enterprise [1][6]. Enterprise buyers should read each vendor's trust centre rather than the pricing card.

How to choose: by destination first, then by volume

Choose in two steps: first decide where the finished deck must live (a .pptx you send, a file inside PowerPoint or Google Slides, or a web link), then divide each candidate's monthly price by the decks you make. The figure gives the four common starting points; the arithmetic above settles the rest.

Decision figure with four starting points. If you need 0 dollars and a .pptx file: NOXI or Canva Free, monthly allowance, no card. If you need AI inside PowerPoint: ChatGPT for PowerPoint from 0 dollars, or Microsoft 365 Personal at 99.99 dollars a year. If you need AI inside Google Slides: Google AI Pro at 19.99 dollars a month, or a Workspace Business Standard seat. If you need 5 seats with one admin: Claude, Microsoft or Gamma team plans from 1,200 dollars a year.
Where the deck must end up narrows the field; price per deck decides between what is left.
  1. Is the deliverable a .pptx that someone else will edit? Prefer a route with a documented editable PowerPoint export on the plan you will use, or an add-in inside PowerPoint.
  2. Do you already pay for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace? Then price the add-in route first: it may cost $0 to $20 a month extra.
  3. How many decks a month? Under 5: a free plan or a single month of a monthly plan. Around 20: any paid entry plan is $1 or less a deck, so choose on features.
  4. Do you need SSO, central billing or locked brand templates? Then compare team plans at 5 and 20 seats with the formula above, and ask sales about the conflicts this index lists.

For the wider quality picture behind these prices, our AI presentation tools ranking scores 20 tools on seven capability criteria, and Gamma alternatives covers the tools people move to when Gamma's credits run out.

Where NOXI fits: our pick for a free, editable PowerPoint

NOXI is our pick for one job: a deck that has to cost nothing and leave as an editable PowerPoint, built from your own files or in the style of your own template. It scores 79 in this index, third behind Canva and ChatGPT for PowerPoint, which score higher on team plans and education programmes, and in ChatGPT's case on AI inside PowerPoint.

  • Price. Free, with no card and no watermark; each account gets a monthly allowance of 1,000 credits, and a full deck uses about 25, so about 40 decks a month (1,000 ÷ 25).
  • Input. Describe the topic, or upload a PDF, Word document, Excel or CSV file, PowerPoint or image, and NOXI turns it into a structured deck.
  • Style. Upload any PowerPoint, PDF or image as a reference, and NOXI designs the new deck in that style: colours, typography, layouts and visual rhythm.
  • File. Download an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) with real text boxes and embedded fonts, Arabic included, or a PDF.

Key terms used in this index

Four terms decide most pricing comparisons. Each is defined so the tables above can be read the same way by everyone.

Definition What are AI credits? AI credits are a vendor's unit for metering AI work such as generating slides, images or edits. Plans grant credits once, monthly or daily; what a deck costs in credits depends on the vendor, and only some vendors state it. Compare tools on credits per deck, not on credits per plan.
Definition What is a fair-use limit? A fair-use limit is a usage cap a vendor reserves the right to apply to a feature it does not meter by credits, for example "abundant" or "no allowance used" AI tools. The cap is not published as a number, so heavy users should expect throttling or a request to upgrade rather than a fixed bill.
Definition What is cost per deck? Cost per deck is the plan's monthly price divided by the decks made in that month, using the annual price ÷ 12 for annual plans. It assumes the plan's allowance covers the volume; when a vendor does not state credits per deck, check one real deck's cost before relying on it.
Definition What is a seat? A seat is one named user's licence on a team plan, billed per user per month or per year. A team's annual cost is seat price × 12 × seats; some plans set seat minimums or ranges, such as Claude Team's 2 to 150 or Beautiful.ai Team's 2 to 20.

What this index does not measure

A price index tells you what each plan costs and what it documents, not how good the slides are. It does not measure the quality of a first draft, how often a tool invents a figure, generation speed, or how a specific export opens on a colleague's computer. Those need the same brief run through each tool, which is what our June 2026 test did. It also cannot see negotiated enterprise prices, regional taxes or promotions shown only to signed-in users. Prices change often; re-check the vendor's page on the day you buy.

Three prompts to test a free route in NOXI

The fairest price test is one of your own decks made on each shortlisted plan. These three prompts run the jobs from this index in NOXI: a pricing decision deck from your research file, a deck in the style of your own template, and a class deck with sources.

Prompt 1 · Turn your price research into a decision deck

Use the attached [pricing-comparison.xlsx]. Build a 7-slide recommendation for [our head of operations] on which presentation tool to buy for [5] people making [30] decks a month. Show cost per deck as annual price ÷ decks a year for each option, the team cost per year, what each paid plan adds, and end with one recommendation and the date the prices were checked.

Prompt 2 · A deck in the style of your own template

Use the attached [company template].pptx as the style reference: match its colours, typography and layouts. Build a [10]-slide [quarterly client update] from the attached [notes.docx], with one chart per data slide and every slide title written as a full sentence that states the finding. I will export it as an editable PowerPoint.

Prompt 3 · A class presentation with sources

Create a [10]-slide presentation for [a grade 11 economics class] on "[topic]". Research the topic first, put a source line under every figure, keep one idea per slide, and end with three discussion questions. I will download it as PowerPoint to submit.

Build it in NOXI: six steps

Each step uses a capability described above; a full deck uses about 25 of the 1,000 monthly credits.

Step 1 — Start free

Open noxi.ai and create a free account; no card is needed, and each account gets a monthly allowance of 1,000 credits.

Step 2 — Describe the deck or attach your files

Type the topic, audience and length, or attach a PDF, Word, Excel or CSV file, PowerPoint or image of up to 200 MB. NOXI turns it into a structured deck.

Step 3 — Upload your template as the style

Use Match reference to upload your own PowerPoint, a PDF or a screenshot. NOXI designs the new deck in that style: colours, typography, layouts and visual rhythm.

Step 4 — Review the outline first

Choose to review the outline before generating, adjust slide titles and order, then generate and watch each slide being built.

Step 5 — Edit by chat, by click or by hand

Ask the AI to change one slide or the whole deck in plain English or Arabic, click any element and say what to change, or edit text, tables and chart numbers directly on the slide.

Step 6 — Share, present or export

Share a view-only or edit link, present full-screen from NOXI, or download an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) with embedded fonts, or a PDF, free and with no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI presentation maker cost?
Paid entry plans list at $8.33 to $20 a month per person, billed annually where offered, as of 15 October 2026: Microsoft 365 Personal works out to $8.33, Gamma Plus is $9, Plus AI Basic $10, Canva Pro US$12, Beautiful.ai Pro $14.50, Prezi Plus $15, Claude Pro $17 and ChatGPT Plus $20. Team seats run from about $20 to $40 a month. Canva Free, ChatGPT Free and NOXI cost $0.
Is Gamma free?
Yes, Gamma has a free plan with no card: 400 credits at sign-up that do not refresh, up to 10 slides per prompt, and export to PDF, PPTX, PNG and Google Slides. Plus removes Gamma branding and costs $9 a seat a month billed annually or $12 monthly, with 1,000 credits a month, according to Gamma's pricing page on 15 October 2026.
Is Gamma free for students?
Gamma's pricing page showed no student or education price on 15 October 2026, so students use the same Free plan as everyone else: 400 one-time credits, up to 10 slides per prompt and branded exports. Free users can earn 200 credits per referral, holding up to 2,000 at once, or upgrade to Plus at $9 a month billed annually.
How much is Beautiful.ai?
Beautiful.ai Pro costs $14.50 a month billed annually ($174 a year) or $45 billed monthly; Team costs $40 a user a month billed annually or $50 monthly, for 2 to 20 seats. There is no free plan: the 14-day trial needs a credit card and is charged if not cancelled. Students with a valid .edu email get a year free.
How much is Canva Pro?
On Canva's US pricing page on 15 October 2026, Canva Pro costs US$144 a year or US$18 a month for one person, excluding tax, with up to 200 Premium AI uses a month. Canva Business is US$250 a year per person. Canva shows local currency in other countries, so check the price in yours before buying.
Is Copilot in PowerPoint free?
Only in a limited way. Microsoft's plan table gives a free Microsoft account limited Copilot usage overall, Microsoft 365 Personal ($99.99 a year) and Family ($129.99) more usage than free in PowerPoint, and Premium ($199.99) extensive usage, without numeric limits. For businesses, Business Standard with Copilot is $23.50 a user a month paid yearly.
Is ChatGPT for PowerPoint free?
Yes, with limits. OpenAI's help centre says ChatGPT for PowerPoint is available to Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu and K-12 users; Free and Go get limited usage, and paid plans count against the plan's agentic usage limit. It runs inside Microsoft PowerPoint, so you also need PowerPoint. ChatGPT Plus costs $20 a month.
What is the cheapest AI presentation maker?
At $0, the free routes are Canva Free (up to 20 AI uses a month), ChatGPT Free (limited ChatGPT for PowerPoint usage) and NOXI (1,000 credits a month, about 40 decks). Among paid entry plans on annual billing, Microsoft 365 Personal at $8.33 a month and Gamma Plus at $9 were the lowest prices in this index on 15 October 2026.
Which AI presentation makers export PowerPoint on the free plan?
Gamma Free exports PPTX with Gamma branding, Canva Free downloads presentations as PPTX, and NOXI exports an editable PowerPoint and PDF with no watermark. ChatGPT for PowerPoint works inside PowerPoint itself. Genspark, Presentations.AI and Beautiful.ai put PowerPoint export on paid plans, Pitch lists branding-free PPTX export from Plus, and Prezi lists PDF export.
Do AI presentation credits roll over?
Usually not, or only partly. Gamma rolls unused plan credits over up to double the plan size, and purchased credits never expire while the plan is active. Canva's AI allowance resets every month. Genspark's free daily credits stop at a lifetime limit. Each NOXI account gets a fresh monthly allowance of 1,000 credits. Check each vendor's credit page before relying on a balance.

Changelog

This index is refreshed monthly on the same address, and each edition records what moved since the last one.

  • 15 October 2026. First edition: 16 tools, prices from official pages opened on 15 October 2026, cost per deck at 4 and 20 decks a month, team cost for 5 and 20 seats, and value scores for 13 tools priced in US dollars.

Sources & methodology

How this index was made: every price, plan, credit allowance and date was read on the vendor's own pricing page, help centre or official blog, opened in a browser on 15 October 2026 (checked 15 October 2026 for every entry below). Prices are list prices as displayed, excluding tax, in the currency the page showed. Scores credit documented capability only and are editorial judgements by NOXI, which is scored by the same anchors from its product documentation. Cedar & Line is a fictional example.

Price your next deck on the plan that fits where it has to end up. If that is a free, editable PowerPoint in the style of your own template, NOXI costs nothing: describe the topic or attach your files, upload your template as the style, and download the .pptx.
