Disclosure: this is NOXI's own announcement, written by NOXI's founder. Every statement about how ChatGPT works quotes OpenAI's help centre or the public NOXI listing in ChatGPT, both checked on 27 October 2026.
The news: NOXI is now an official plugin in ChatGPT. Since 26 October 2026 it has its own listing in ChatGPT's plugin directory, in the Creativity category. Install it, connect your NOXI account and ask @NOXI for a deck: NOXI builds a designed, editable presentation and returns PowerPoint, PDF and HTML files in the chat, on your free NOXI credits.
You can now make a NOXI deck without leaving ChatGPT. On 26 October 2026, after OpenAI's review, NOXI was published in ChatGPT's plugin directory, with its own listing and an Install plugin button that anyone can find by searching "NOXI" [1][2]. Until now, connecting the two meant pasting a server address by hand; now it takes one install and one sign-in. For our team it is a milestone. For anyone who already plans, drafts and thinks in ChatGPT, it means the deck is made in the same conversation, and that includes real right-to-left Arabic decks: ask in Arabic, and NOXI builds the slides in Arabic, right to left.
This page is the announcement and the how-to in one: what the listing says, how to install and use the plugin in OpenAI's own words, what to ask, what comes back, what happens to your data and who can use it. For the wider picture of plugins, connectors and MCP across assistants, see our guide to Claude connectors, ChatGPT plugins and MCP.

Key numbers
What's new: NOXI in ChatGPT's plugin directory
NOXI now has a public listing in ChatGPT's plugin directory at chatgpt.com/plugins, under the name NOXI and the subtitle AI presentation maker [1]. Searching the directory for "NOXI", even signed out, shows exactly one result: NOXI, AI presentation maker [2]. Plugins are submitted to OpenAI "for review", and the developer docs say: "Once your plugin is approved, you choose when to make it available" [5]. NOXI's was approved and published on 26 October 2026.

The listing describes NOXI as "an AI presentation maker for work" that turns "a topic, a brief or an outline" into a complete, designed slide deck in your NOXI account, using the same engine as noxi.ai [1]. It offers three starter prompts: "Create a 10-slide NOXI presentation about our Q3 product launch", "Show my recent NOXI presentations" and "Export my latest NOXI presentation as a PowerPoint file" [1].
Its Information section lists five capabilities. Here is what each one means in practice:
| Capability on the listing [1] | What it means in a chat |
|---|---|
| Find and read your NOXI presentations and templates | Ask ChatGPT to list your recent decks or the templates in your account, or to read what is in a deck |
| Create designed presentations from a topic, brief or outline | A full deck from one line, from a paragraph of context, or from your exact slide-by-slide outline, optionally with fresh web research |
| Edit slides with NOXI's AI editor | Change one slide or the whole deck in plain words, in the same conversation |
| Export presentations as PDF, PowerPoint or HTML | Files for sending, for editing in PowerPoint, or a single-file web version that opens in a browser |
| Show slide previews and the files in a card in the chat | You see the slides and download the files without leaving ChatGPT |
Two details matter for anyone deciding whether to install it. The listing names the developer as NOXI and links NOXI's website, privacy policy and terms of service. And it states the boundary plainly: "NOXI only works with presentations in the account you connect" [1].
What is a ChatGPT plugin, in OpenAI's words?
In OpenAI's current help centre, "An app connects ChatGPT to a service", and "A plugin brings apps and skills together" [3]. NOXI's plugin bundles one app, NOXI, which connects to the MCP server at mcp.noxi.ai/mcp, and one skill, noxi-presentations, which tells ChatGPT how to work with decks [1]. You may still see older names such as connectors or "Apps & Connectors" in tutorials; ChatGPT's menus now say Plugins. For the history of these terms and how the Model Context Protocol works underneath, our guide to connectors, plugins and MCP covers it in full.
How to install NOXI in ChatGPT and make your first deck
To add NOXI to ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar, search for NOXI, select Install plugin, then Connect and sign in to NOXI. After that, mention @NOXI in any chat and ask for a deck. The steps below use OpenAI's own wording from its help centre, checked on 27 October 2026 [3][4].
Step 1: Open Plugins in ChatGPT
OpenAI's instruction is to "Go to Plugins on the sidebar"; this guide follows ChatGPT on the web. In the Arabic interface the same menu is called المكونات الإضافية. OpenAI adds that "The directory shows plugins available to your plan and workspace."
Step 2: Search for NOXI and open the listing
Type NOXI in the directory's search box and open the result named NOXI, AI presentation maker. Check the Information section: the developer is NOXI, the category is Creativity and the version is 0.3.3, as of 27 October 2026.
Step 3: Select Install plugin
OpenAI's wording is "Select Install plugin if shown". In ChatGPT's Arabic interface the button reads تثبيت المكوّن الإضافي. If you can't install it, OpenAI says availability depends on your plan, workspace, role and region, so ask your administrator.
Step 4: Connect and sign in to NOXI
If prompted, "select Connect for an app that requires account authorization". A NOXI window opens: sign in to your NOXI account, or create a free one, and approve one consent screen that lists reading presentations and templates and creating, editing and exporting presentations. No API key or password goes into the chat.
Step 5: Ask for a deck with @NOXI
In any chat, "select a plugin directly with an @ mention, select + and enter its name". Type @NOXI and describe the deck: topic, audience, number of slides and language. ChatGPT may ask for your approval before NOXI reads your decks or creates one; approve it to continue.
Step 6: Download the files or open the deck in NOXI
A card in the chat shows the progress, then slide previews and three files: PDF, PowerPoint (.pptx) and a single-file HTML web version. Keep refining the deck in the same chat, or select Open in NOXI to edit it on the slides, present it full-screen or share a link.

You don't always need the @ mention. OpenAI notes that "ChatGPT automatically uses your installed plugins when they're relevant" [3], so a request such as "make a NOXI presentation from this plan" in a long conversation will usually reach NOXI on its own. Naming NOXI in the request is the surest way to pick the right tool.
What comes back in the chat
When NOXI creates or changes a deck, a card appears in the conversation with slide previews and the files, ready to download [1]. NOXI prepares the PDF, PowerPoint and HTML files automatically after every change, and long tasks "run in the background", with the assistant following them to completion [1].

- PowerPoint (.pptx): NOXI's own export engine writes real, editable text boxes and embeds the fonts, Arabic included, so the file opens with your typography [7].
- PDF: for sending, printing and reading on any device.
- HTML: a single-file web version of the deck that opens in any browser [1].
- Open in NOXI: the same deck in your NOXI account, where you can edit text on the slide, swap images, edit tables and chart numbers, present full-screen, share a view-only or edit link, and invite people to edit together [7].
Because the deck lives in your NOXI account, nothing is lost when the chat ends: next week you can ask ChatGPT to "show my recent NOXI presentations" and keep working on the same file [1].
What you can ask NOXI in ChatGPT: 8 prompts
Every prompt below uses a capability named on the listing [1]. Give the slide count, the audience and the facts to keep, and name NOXI so ChatGPT picks the right plugin. For more patterns, see our ChatGPT prompts for presentations.
@NOXI Create a 10-slide presentation about our Q3 product launch for the sales team: the problem, the product, three customer stories, pricing, the launch timeline and what we need from sales.
@NOXI Create an 8-slide presentation on electric-vehicle adoption in the Gulf, grounded in fresh web research. Show where each figure comes from and end with three questions for our board.
@NOXI Build a presentation from this outline. Keep my slide titles and every number exactly as written; design each slide to fit its content. Outline: [paste your outline].
@NOXI أنشئ عرضًا تقديميًا من 8 شرائح باللغة العربية عن خطة التحول الرقمي في شركتنا لعام 2027، مع مخطط زمني لأرباع السنة وجدول للميزانية.
In English: create an 8-slide presentation in Arabic about our company's digital transformation plan for 2027, with a quarterly timeline and a budget table.
@NOXI In my latest NOXI presentation, make slide 4 a timeline, shorten every slide title to under eight words, and turn slide 7 into a three-column comparison.
@NOXI Show my recent NOXI presentations.
@NOXI Export my latest NOXI presentation as a PowerPoint file and as a PDF.
@NOXI Show the templates in my NOXI account, then create a 6-slide client update using [template name].
Prompt 8 works with the templates your NOXI account has. Every account has NOXI's default design, which you can restyle with your logo, brand colour and fonts once the deck is open in NOXI [7].
Arabic presentations inside ChatGPT: real right-to-left decks
NOXI brings real right-to-left Arabic decks into ChatGPT. Ask in Arabic, or ask for Arabic slides in English, and NOXI writes the slides "in the language you ask for, including right-to-left languages such as Arabic", as its listing puts it [1]. The deck is laid out for Arabic, not only translated into it.
This is what NOXI documents for Arabic decks, and it applies the same way when the request comes from ChatGPT, because the plugin uses the same engine as noxi.ai [1][7]:
- Right-to-left slides: slide direction follows the slide content, and timelines, step-by-step processes and tables run right to left.
- Charts keep their usual reading direction, so values and axes read as they do in any business report; funnels mirror.
- Four Arabic fonts: Cairo, Tajawal, IBM Plex Sans Arabic and Noto Sans Arabic.
- Arabic and English on one slide: direction is set paragraph by paragraph, so a product name in English sits naturally inside an Arabic sentence.
- An editable PowerPoint: the .pptx export writes editable text boxes and embeds the fonts, Arabic included [7].
- A full Arabic interface when you open the deck in NOXI, with the same editing tools in Arabic.

If you use ChatGPT in Arabic, the steps are the same: the directory appears as المكونات الإضافية and the button as تثبيت المكوّن الإضافي [1]. For bilingual decks with Arabic and English versions side by side, our guide to the bilingual Arabic-English presentation covers layout and wording, and this announcement is also available in Arabic.
You'll find other presentation tools in the same directory, among them Gamma, Canva and Beautiful.ai. If you are choosing between tools rather than installing one, our AI presentation tools ranking prints its rules and scores.
Privacy and data: what OpenAI and NOXI each say
When you connect NOXI, two companies handle parts of the request: ChatGPT decides what to send to the plugin, and NOXI builds and stores the deck in your account. Each one's rules apply to its part, and both are stated in public.
What OpenAI says about connected apps
- Chats and memories: the standard notice on every listing, NOXI's included, says "ChatGPT may share relevant chats and memories with this app", to give context for your requests [1].
- Approvals: "ChatGPT may ask for approval before reading information or completing an action" [4].
- Third-party terms: "Data shared with apps is handled according to each app's terms of service and privacy policies" [4].
- Training: on Business, Enterprise and Edu, "OpenAI does not use information accessed from apps to train models by default". On Free, Plus, Go and Pro, it may be used if "Improve the model for everyone" is on in your settings [4].
- Plan limits: "App use may count toward your ChatGPT plan limits" [4].
For how each assistant treats your chats, see whether ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini train on your data.
What NOXI says
- No training on your work: NOXI's privacy policy says: "We do not use your presentations, prompts, or uploaded files to train or fine-tune AI models" [8].
- Your account only: the plugin works only with presentations in the NOXI account you connect [1].
- Sign in once: you sign in to NOXI in its own window, and the connection stays active for up to a year while you use it at least once a month [6].
- Security: data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and NOXI is operated from Abu Dhabi [8].
- Disconnect any time: in OpenAI's words, "Users can disconnect apps from Settings > Plugins" [4].
Who can use it: ChatGPT plans, admins and NOXI credits
OpenAI says "The plugin directory is available across ChatGPT plans", and that installing or using a given plugin "depends on your plan, workspace, role, region" and the plugin itself [3]. In practice:
| Your ChatGPT setup | What OpenAI's help says [3] |
|---|---|
| Personal plans | The plugin directory is available across ChatGPT plans; install from Plugins in the sidebar |
| Business | "In Business workspaces, apps are enabled by default" |
| Enterprise and Edu | New workspaces start with a selected set of apps enabled; admins manage plugins under Admin console > Plugins |
| Web, desktop and mobile | "Some tools, interactive views, or apps may be available only on desktop, web, or mobile" |
If the Install plugin button doesn't appear in a company account, the documented next step is to ask your administrator to review the plugin in Admin console > Plugins. Admins can make a plugin available to install or install it for members, and on Enterprise and Edu they can set access by role [3].
On NOXI's side, nothing changes: the plugin uses your regular NOXI credits. NOXI is free, with no card and no watermark; every account gets 1,000 credits a month, and a full deck uses about 25, so 1,000 ÷ 25 = 40 full decks a month. Exports are free [7].
When to ask in ChatGPT, and when to open noxi.ai
Use the plugin when the deck grows out of a conversation: you have just planned a launch, summarised research or drafted a proposal in ChatGPT, and you want the slides without copying anything across. The context is already there, and the files come back in the same chat.
Open noxi.ai when the job starts from a file or needs hands-on design work. Its Home actions include Create from file (PDF, Word, Excel or PowerPoint), Beautify my deck, Match reference for a deck in the style of a file you upload, and Translate a deck into a separate Arabic or English version [7]. In the editor you can click any element and tell the AI what to change, sketch on a slide on desktop, edit tables and chart numbers, and restore earlier versions. For translation in particular, see how to translate a PowerPoint.
Both routes land in the same NOXI account, so a deck started in ChatGPT can be finished on noxi.ai, and the other way round. For a broader look at what ChatGPT does well with slides on its own, and where a dedicated deck tool helps, see NOXI vs ChatGPT for presentations.
Does NOXI work in other assistants?
Yes, by connector address. NOXI connects to Claude, Cursor, Claude Code and Codex with the MCP server address on noxi.ai/connect, using the same sign-in [6]. In ChatGPT, the plugin listing is now the simpler path, with no address to paste.
Here are three slides from the deck NOXI built for this article's worked example, unedited.

Frequently asked questions
- Is NOXI an official ChatGPT plugin?
- Yes. NOXI is published in ChatGPT's public plugin directory, after OpenAI's review, since 26 October 2026. Its listing shows Developer NOXI, Category Creativity and Version 0.3.3, and anyone can find it by searching the directory for NOXI. It is a third-party plugin built and run by NOXI, not an OpenAI product.
- How do I add NOXI to ChatGPT?
- Open Plugins in the ChatGPT sidebar, search for NOXI and open the listing. Select Install plugin, then Connect, and sign in to your NOXI account or create a free one in the window that opens. Approve the consent screen, then type @NOXI in any chat and ask for a presentation.
- Is the NOXI plugin for ChatGPT free?
- Yes. The plugin uses your regular NOXI credits, and NOXI is free with no card and no watermark. Every account gets 1,000 credits a month, and a full deck uses about 25, which is about 40 decks a month. Exports are free. ChatGPT app use may also count toward your ChatGPT plan limits.
- Can NOXI make Arabic presentations in ChatGPT?
- Yes. Ask in Arabic, or ask for Arabic slides, and NOXI writes the deck in Arabic and lays it out right to left: timelines and tables run right to left, with four Arabic fonts and Arabic and English allowed on one slide. The PowerPoint export embeds the fonts, Arabic included, with editable text boxes.
- What files does NOXI return in ChatGPT?
- After a deck is created or changed, a card in the chat shows slide previews and three files: a PDF, a PowerPoint (.pptx) and a single-file HTML web version that opens in any browser. The card also links to the deck in NOXI, where you can edit, present full-screen or share it.
- Which ChatGPT plans can use the NOXI plugin?
- OpenAI says the plugin directory is available across ChatGPT plans, and that installing or using a plugin depends on your plan, workspace, role and region. On Business, apps are enabled by default; on Enterprise and Edu, admins choose which plugins are available under Admin console > Plugins. Ask your administrator if the Install button is missing.
- Does ChatGPT share my chats with NOXI?
- ChatGPT may share relevant chats and memories with a connected app to give context for your request, according to the standard notice on every listing. ChatGPT may also ask for your approval before reading information or acting. NOXI's privacy policy says it does not use your presentations, prompts or uploaded files to train AI models.
- Can I edit a deck after ChatGPT creates it?
- Yes, in two ways. In the same chat, ask NOXI to change a slide or the whole deck in plain words, such as making slide 4 a timeline. Or select Open in NOXI to edit text on the slides, swap images, edit tables and chart numbers, present full-screen and invite people to edit with you.
- How do I disconnect NOXI from ChatGPT?
- Open Settings, then Plugins, in ChatGPT and select the NOXI plugin to manage or disconnect it. OpenAI's notice on the listing says you can manage your preferences or disconnect from apps at any time in your settings. Your decks stay in your NOXI account at noxi.ai after you disconnect.
- Can I connect NOXI to Claude and other assistants?
- Yes, by connector address rather than a directory listing. NOXI connects to Claude, Cursor, Claude Code and Codex with the MCP server address shown on noxi.ai/connect, and you sign in to NOXI the same way. In ChatGPT, the plugin listing is the simpler route, because there is no address to paste.
