Disclosure: NOXI publishes this page and is one of the tools scored. That's why the rules, weights and the source of every cell are printed, along with where NOXI loses points.
Quick answer: Keep Prezi if the zooming canvas is the point. If you need an editable PowerPoint, a private free plan or AI drafting, NOXI scores highest on these 7 rules (98 of 100), then PowerPoint with Copilot and Gamma (83 each) and Canva (80). Prezi scores 62. For a zoom format outside Prezi, PowerPoint's Zoom on desktop comes closest.
None of the nine scored alternatives documents Prezi's zooming open canvas, so the useful question is which of your needs Prezi stopped meeting.
In short
- RankingNOXI 98, PowerPoint with Copilot 83, Gamma 83, Canva 80, Presentations.AI 75, Beautiful.ai 73, Gemini in Google Slides 66, Decktopus 62, Pitch 61. Prezi, as the reference row, scores 62.
- Zoom formatOnly Prezi documents zooming across an open canvas. PowerPoint's Summary, Slide and Section Zoom on Windows and Mac desktop are the closest; PowerPoint for the web has none.
- Is Prezi free?Basic is free with 500 AI credits that stay until used, but content is public and download starts at Plus ($15 a month billed annually, as shown on Prezi's pricing page).
- Free and editableNOXI documents a free editable .pptx with no watermark and a monthly allowance; Canva's help lists PPTX download with no plan limit and monthly AI uses; Gamma's free export carries a badge.
- MethodDocumented capability from official pages opened on 25 October 2026, with the rules of our AI presentation tools ranking. Not a new hands-on test.
Key numbers
The two "100M+" figures differ: Gamma counts everyone who has used it; Canva counts monthly users.
Prezi alternatives ranked: 9 tools scored on 7 rules
On seven documented criteria checked on 25 October 2026, NOXI scores 98 of 100, PowerPoint with Copilot and Gamma 83 each and Canva 80; Prezi scores 62 on the same rules. The scores reward an editable PowerPoint file, editing depth, sources on slides, file import, right-to-left layout, a real free plan and where the tool runs.
| # | Tool | Score | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | NOXI | 98 | You want a free editable PowerPoint, source lines on data slides, Arabic right-to-left slides, and a deck built from your own file or style. |
| 2 | PowerPoint with Copilot | 83 | The deck must stay in PowerPoint; Zoom and Morph on desktop are the nearest thing to Prezi's motion. |
| 3 | Gamma | 83 | You want fast drafts across decks, docs and web pages, Arabic text support, and a badge on free exports is acceptable. |
| 4 | Canva | 80 | Design range matters, you import PDF, Word, Excel or PowerPoint, and you present from Canva. |
| 5 | Presentations.AI | 75 | You start from many input types, want a REST API, and a free tier with PowerPoint export ticked on the pricing table. |
| 6 | Beautiful.ai | 73 | You want slides that re-layout themselves, a locked brand kit and right-to-left themes, and you'll pay after the trial. |
| 7 | Gemini in Google Slides | 66 | Your school or company already runs on Google's paid plans and English is enough. |
| 8 | Decktopus | 62 | You want a quick deck branded from your website and will pay for export. |
| 9 | Pitch | 61 | A sales team builds and presents decks together in Pitch, with a remote MCP server. |
| — | Prezi (reference) | 62 | The zooming canvas is the point, or EDU pricing from $4 a month billed annually suits your school. |
Two pairs tie. PowerPoint with Copilot and Gamma both total 83; the P1 tie-break (5 against 3) lists Copilot first. Prezi and Decktopus both total 62; the P1 tie-break (4 against 3) lists Decktopus first.

Why people look for a Prezi alternative: three limits and one strength
Most people leaving Prezi hit one of three documented limits; its zooming canvas is the reason many stay.
- The free plan is public and can't be downloaded. Prezi's pricing page lists "Public content" for Basic and puts "Download / PDF export" and watermark-free presentations on Plus and above [3].
- The file clients ask for is PowerPoint. Prezi added PPTX download in February 2026, keeping "a slide version of every frame" [7], but no Prezi page we opened states that the downloaded text stays editable. That is why Prezi gets a 3 on export here, with the alternative total printed below.
- AI drafting with sources. Prezi AI builds a presentation from a prompt or a PPTX, PDF or DOCX file, and lets you rework a slide by chat [8]. No Prezi page documents web research or a source on the slide.
- The strength: motion. Prezi describes itself as presentations that move, "zooming and panning across an open canvas" [9]. Prezi AI also lets you choose a classic slide presentation instead [8].
The rule for this page: keep Prezi if the zooming canvas is the point. If the point is an editable PowerPoint, a private free plan or AI drafting with sources, the alternatives below document those on their own pages.
How we scored: the rules of our AI presentation tools ranking
We re-applied the rules of our AI presentation tools ranking on 25 October 2026: seven criteria, each rated 1 to 5, weighted to a total of 100. The same anchors apply to every row, NOXI included, and every rating rests on an official page of the vendor.
| Code | Criterion (weight) | The rule, identical for every tool |
|---|---|---|
| P1 | Editable PPTX export (20) | 5 = an editable .pptx with real text boxes on the free plan with no badge, or the tool edits the native PowerPoint or Google Slides file; 4 = the same on paid plans only, or free with a badge; 3 = the vendor documents visible differences, substituted fonts or elements that become images; 2 = PDF or images only; 1 = no file export documented. |
| P2 | Editing depth (20) | 5 = four AI levels documented: whole deck, one slide, one selected element, your own template or brand kit as the style (plus manual editing); 4 = three; 3 = two; 1 = only regeneration or only manual editing. |
| P3 | Research with sources (15) | 5 = web research and the source on the slide; 4 = cited research, placement not stated; 3 = research or citations in the chat only; 2 = grounds on uploads, no sources shown; 1 = none documented. |
| P4 | Import (15) | 5 = PDF, Word, Excel or CSV, PowerPoint and images, with a stated size limit; 4 = four of five, or all five with no limit; 3 = two or three types; 2 = one type; 1 = text prompt only. |
| P5 | Languages incl. RTL (10) | 5 = right-to-left layout documented; 4 = a language list naming Arabic; 3 = "many languages" without a list; 2 = no list, or English-only generation; 1 = English only. |
| P6 | Free plan reality (10) | 5 = free generation and editable export, no card, no watermark, stated monthly allowance; 4 = free generation with a badged export or a small one-time pool; 3 = free generation without PowerPoint export; 2 = time-limited trial only; 1 = no free use documented. |
| P7 | Where it runs (10) | 5 = web plus inside PowerPoint or Google Slides plus an API, MCP server or connectors; 4 = web plus one of those; 3 = web plus desktop or mobile apps; 2 = web only, or a single host app. |
Readings applied the same way to every row
A vendor's own PowerPoint or Google Slides add-in counts as editing the native file (Copilot, Gemini in Slides). A .pptx of unstated editability gets a 3, as Prezi's does. Without a stated monthly allowance, a free plan tops out at 4. App strings are not official pages, for competitors and NOXI alike. A 1 means "not documented on the pages we opened". Our June 2026 hands-on test used a different method and is not added to these totals.

How sensitive the order is
Every reading that could move a total, including those that shrink NOXI's lead:
- NOXI 89 from an attached file. Research and source lines are off by default when a deck starts from a file, so P3 drops to 2 (490 − 45 = 445 → 89). The build-it flow on this page starts from a file, so this is the number for that flow.
- NOXI 94 if the connector is not counted (P7 = 2).
- NOXI 90 if the in-product export notices ("Complex graphics … preserved as images") were counted as documented differences (P1 = 3). They are in-app messages, not an official page, so the same rule that excludes other vendors' app strings keeps P1 at 5.
- Gamma 87 on the 11 October reading of P1 (badge = 4, the visual-differences section ignored); 80 if CSV through the Gamma AI Agent is not counted as an import (P4 = 4).
- Copilot 81 if admin-enabled work connectors are not counted (P7 = 4); 80 if a spreadsheet used as a chart source is not counted as an import (P4 = 3). Either reading puts Gamma second.
- Canva 78 if "Mirror page to match text direction" is not read as right-to-left layout (P5 = 4); 76 if the pricing page's export row (PDF, JPG, PNG) is read as the full Free list (P6 = 3).
- Presentations.AI 69 if its FAQ's "eligible plans" were preferred over the pricing table that ticks PowerPoint/PDF export for Starter (P1 = 3, P6 = 3).
- Beautiful.ai 77 on the 11 October reading of P1 (font and "slight differences" caveats ignored).
- Prezi 66 if Prezi documents that the downloaded PPTX keeps editable text (P1 = 4); 64 if "Prezi Present now supports additional right-to-left written languages" is read as right-to-left layout (P5 = 5).
No reading moves Prezi above Canva or Gamma, and none moves an alternative above NOXI.
Is Prezi free? Prezi's plans, limits and prices
Prezi is free on the Basic plan, with 500 AI credits that stay until used, but Basic content is public and there is no download; downloading, privacy control and watermark-free presentations need a paid plan. Plus costs $15 a month billed annually, as shown on Prezi's pricing page on 25 October 2026 [3].
| Plan | Price shown (USD) | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | AI presentation generation (500 credits), up to 10 talking points, essential creation tools, public content. No credit card required. |
| Standard | $5 a month, billed annually | Privacy control, 1M+ premium images and visuals, advanced image editing. |
| Plus | $15 a month, billed annually | No fixed cap on AI presentation and image generation or PDF/PPT import, watermark-free presentations, video presentations, Download / PDF export. |
| Premium | $25 a month, billed annually | Presentation analytics, priority technical support, advanced import integrations. |
| Teams | $39 per user a month, billed annually | Central billing and content control, team spaces and secure sign-on, a customised brand kit. |
| EDU Plus / Pro / Teams | $4 and $8 a month; EDU Teams $19 per user a month; billed annually | The Plus feature set for students and educators, then analytics, then department billing; "Valid school email address required for EDU plans". |
The page was served at prezi.com/gts/pricing/ in US dollars; other regions may see other prices. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. Free credits don't refresh monthly; you earn more by referring friends, and Plus and higher plans don't deduct credits [2]. For prices across every AI presentation maker, see our AI presentation maker pricing comparison.
Can Prezi export to PowerPoint?
Yes. Since February 2026 you can download a Prezi presentation as a PPTX file from the dashboard or the Present editor, with a slide version of every frame [7]. Download is listed from the Plus plan [3]. No Prezi page we opened says whether the text in that file stays editable, so test one file before you promise a client an editable deck.
Which Prezi alternatives keep a zoom format?
None of the nine scored alternatives documents a Prezi-style zooming canvas. PowerPoint comes closest: Summary Zoom, Slide Zoom and Section Zoom jump between slides with a zoom on Windows and Mac desktop, and Morph animates smooth movement from one slide to the next. This column is not scored, because it describes a presenting style, not a capability every reader needs.
| Tool | Zoom or open canvas | What the official page says |
|---|---|---|
| Prezi | Documented | Presentations that move, "zooming and panning across an open canvas"; Prezi AI also offers a classic slide presentation [8] [9]. |
| PowerPoint | Summary, Slide and Section Zoom; Morph | Zoom: create and play in PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 on Windows (version 1607 or later) and Mac (16.19 or later), and in PowerPoint 2019, 2021 and 2024 on Windows (2021 and 2024 on Mac); "None" for PowerPoint for the web [10]. Morph: "smooth movement from one slide to the next" [11]. |
| Canva | Links between pages | To jump, "select the page you want to link to" from the pages in the design [12]. |
| Pitch | Links between slides | Linking lets you "make a non-linear jump to a different slide" [13]. |
| Sozi (unscored) | Documented | "A 'zooming' presentation editor", open source under MPL-2.0 [14]. |
| impress.js (unscored) | Documented | A browser framework built on CSS3 transforms, inspired by the idea behind Prezi, MIT licence [15]. |
The other scored tools document linear slides; NOXI presents full-screen with eight transitions. If one zooming overview is all you need, a Summary Zoom slide at the start of a PowerPoint deck gives you that opening; our guide to training presentations shows where an overview fits in a session.

NOXI: our pick for an editable PowerPoint from your own file
NOXI is our pick for a Prezi user who must hand over an editable PowerPoint: it scores 5 on six of the seven rules and 4 on where it runs, and turns a prompt or an uploaded file into a deck you download as a .pptx, free.
1. NOXI 98 / 100
Export (5). Download an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) with real text boxes and embedded fonts, Arabic included, or a PDF; free, with no watermark. Editing (5). Ask the AI to change one slide or the whole deck, click any element and say what to change, or upload a PowerPoint, PDF or image with Match reference so the new deck follows that style; edit text, tables and chart numbers by hand. Research (5). When you start from a prompt, NOXI researches the topic on the web first, and slides with figures carry a source line; with an attached file, research is off by default (89 in the sensitivity list). Import (5). PDF, Word, Excel or CSV, PowerPoint and images, up to 200 MB per file, with a free account. Languages (5). Full Arabic interface and right-to-left slides, where timelines and tables run right-to-left. Free plan (5). 1,000 credits a month; a full deck uses about 25; no card. Where it runs (4). In the browser on desktop and phone, plus a connector: connect NOXI to your assistant with the address on noxi.ai/connect.
Best when: the deliverable is an editable PowerPoint for clients or colleagues, built from your outline, handout or last deck.
Copilot and Beautiful.ai work inside PowerPoint through add-ins; NOXI runs in the browser and hands you a .pptx to open there, or you present full-screen from NOXI.
Gamma: fast AI drafts, and how Prezi vs Gamma compares
Gamma scores 83, level with PowerPoint with Copilot and third on the P1 tie-break, 21 points above Prezi; it leads Prezi on research, import, languages, the free plan and where it runs.
3. Gamma 83 / 100
Export (3). PowerPoint and PDF export; the help article's section "Export Limitations and Visual Differences" says gradients may render differently, and the Free plan's "'Made by Gamma' badge appears on PDF and PPTX exports" [16]. Editing (5). "You can edit at any level, from your whole gamma down to a single element", and you can add a template. Research (4). You can ask the AI to search the web and pull in citations; placement on the slide isn't stated. Import (5). PPTX and DOCX up to 200 MB, PDF up to 100 MB, Excel saved as CSV for the Gamma AI Agent, and images. Languages (4). Gamma "now supports right-to-left (RTL) languages, including Arabic", and the text aligns to the right; mirroring of the slide layout isn't stated. Free plan (4). 400 credits at signup that don't refresh; no credit card. Where it runs (4). Web plus an API and MCP server on every plan, including Free.
Best when: you want fast drafts of decks, documents and web pages and can live with a badge on free exports. Plus is $9 a month billed annually ($108 a year).
Prezi vs Gamma
Pick Gamma over Prezi for AI drafts from more file types, Arabic and other right-to-left text, and a free plan that exports; pick Prezi for the zooming canvas and EDU pricing. Gamma totals 83 and Prezi 62; both earn 5 on editing depth. Our Gamma alternatives guide covers the reverse move.
PowerPoint with Copilot: Zoom and Morph, and Prezi vs PowerPoint
PowerPoint with Copilot scores 83, second here on the P1 tie-break with Gamma, and is the closest documented replacement for Prezi's motion, because Summary Zoom, Slide Zoom, Section Zoom and Morph run in the desktop app. Copilot generates or edits content directly within PowerPoint, so there is no export step.
2. PowerPoint with Copilot 83 / 100
Export (5). Copilot "generates or edits content directly within PowerPoint" [17]. Editing (5). Instructions for a range of slides, for one image, and a Brand Kit. Research (3). "Copilot's response cites the sources it uses", in the response rather than on the slide. Import (4). A Word file; with a work account, also a PDF; a spreadsheet as a chart source; and, since July 2026, an image in Agent Mode. Languages (4). Arabic is in the supported-language list; no right-to-left slide layout statement. Free plan (2). A one-month trial of Microsoft 365 Personal, Family and Premium. Where it runs (5). PowerPoint for Windows, Mac and the web, plus admin-enabled work connectors.
Best when: the deck must stay a PowerPoint file and you want Zoom or Morph on desktop. Microsoft 365 Personal costs $99.99 a year or $9.99 a month and includes Copilot in PowerPoint [18].
Prezi vs PowerPoint: is Prezi better than PowerPoint?
Prezi is better than PowerPoint for one thing: presenting across a single open canvas. PowerPoint is better for files colleagues edit, for offline work in the desktop app, and for organisations already on Microsoft 365. On the rules here PowerPoint with Copilot scores 83 and Prezi 62.
Canva and Beautiful.ai: design-led alternatives, and Prezi vs Canva
Canva scores 80 and Beautiful.ai 73. Both document right-to-left layout and brand controls; Canva leads on import and the free plan, Beautiful.ai on cited research and a PowerPoint add-in.
4. Canva 80 / 100
Export (3). "Designs downloaded as PPTX … may look different when opened in Microsoft Powerpoint" [19]. Editing (4). Canva AI makes design element changes and refines a whole design; Brand Kit. Research (3). Web Research in Canva AI, with sources in the chat. Import (5). PDF, DOCX and PPTX up to 300 MB, CSV and XLSX up to 100 MB, images under 50 MB. Languages (5). Translate can "Mirror page to match text direction to support right-to-left languages". Free plan (5). Up to 20 AI uses that reset monthly; the download help lists PPTX with no plan restriction (the pricing page's export row has no PPTX line). Where it runs (4). Web, apps and connectors; no PowerPoint add-in.
Best when: design range and templates matter and you present from Canva. Pro is US$144 a year.
6. Beautiful.ai 73 / 100
Export (3). Editable export is on Pro, Team and Enterprise; without the fonts, "your export will be slightly different" [20]. Editing (4). Slide AI edits at slide level, an AI chat panel requests changes, and a Brand Kit sets the style. Research (4). Enterprise users can see the online sources behind AI-generated claims. Import (3). Documents, PDFs or links as supporting files. Languages (5). An RTL text toggle and layouts for right-to-left text (beta). Free plan (2). A 14-day free trial of Pro or Team. Where it runs (5). PowerPoint add-in, an API and an MCP connector.
Best when: slides that re-layout themselves and a locked brand matter more than a free plan. Pro is $14.50 a month billed annually. More options are in our Beautiful.ai alternatives guide.
Prezi vs Canva
Pick Canva over Prezi for the size of its design library, for imports from PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and for right-to-left page mirroring; pick Prezi for zooming. Canva's help lists PPTX download for presentations with no plan restriction, and warns the file may look different in PowerPoint; Prezi's download starts at Plus. On the rules here Canva scores 80 and Prezi 62. If you are weighing Canva itself, our NOXI vs Canva comparison goes row by row.
Gemini in Google Slides, and Prezi vs Google Slides
Gemini in Google Slides scores 66: it creates native Google Slides files with no export step, but Google documents it on desktop, in English only, on eligible paid plans.
7. Gemini in Google Slides 66 / 100
Export (5). "Create fully native and editable presentations with Gemini in Google Slides" (Google, 30 June 2026) [21]. Editing (4). One slide at a time, manual edits to any element, and an existing deck to match its style. Research (3). Searches the web and your Drive, with sources in the side panel. Import (3). Drive files as references; types and limits not stated. Languages (2). "available on desktop and in English only". Free plan (2). Requires an eligible paid plan; a 14-day business trial. Where it runs (2). Inside Google Slides, on desktop.
Best when: your school or company already pays for Google's plans and every deck lives in Drive.
Prezi vs Google Slides
Pick Google Slides for co-editing a file your organisation already keeps in Drive; pick Prezi for the zooming canvas. Gemini in Slides scores 66 here and Prezi 62.
Presentations.AI, Decktopus and Pitch
Presentations.AI (75), Decktopus (62) and Pitch (61) suit narrower jobs: an API, a deck branded from your website, and team sales decks.
5. Presentations.AI 75 / 100
Export (4). The pricing table ticks "PowerPoint / PDF Export" for Starter, Pro and Gold, and the FAQ describes fully editable .pptx files; a free-file watermark isn't stated [22]. Editing (4). Click any text, image or layout, or tell the AI what to fix; Brand Sync. Research (3). Up-to-date research while you generate, without citations. Import (4). Word, PDF, a URL, a Google Doc, Excel, or an existing PowerPoint. Languages (3). "more than 14 languages". Free plan (4). Starter $0 with 200 credits, up to 20 slides. Where it runs (4). Web and a REST API with a free tier.
Best when: you start from many input types and want an API. Pro is $20 a month billed annually (US prices).
8. Decktopus 62 / 100
Export (4). "PPT: A fully editable file you can open in PowerPoint"; export on Pro and Business [23]. Editing (3). Edit with AI and brand import from a website. Research (1). Not documented. Import (3). A supporting PDF or document, or an existing presentation. Languages (4). Decks in any language; the interface list includes Arabic. Free plan (3). The first deck is free, without export. Where it runs (4). Web and a remote MCP server.
Best when: you want a branded first draft fast and will pay for export.
9. Pitch 61 / 100
Export (3). PowerPoint export is a premium feature; charts "may look different" and fonts can fall back to Calibri [24]. Editing (4). A new presentation from a prompt, files and a template; quick actions on a selected block. Research (1). Not documented. Import (4). PDF, MD, TXT, CSV and images, plus PPTX import. Languages (2). No generation-language list. Free plan (3). Free with 100 lifetime credits; PowerPoint export on Plus. Where it runs (4). Web and a remote MCP server at mcp.pitch.com.
Best when: a team builds and presents decks inside Pitch. Prices are shown in euros (Plus €10 a month paid yearly, as shown on 25 October 2026).
Free Prezi alternatives: which free plans keep your deck private and editable
NOXI and Canva document free generation, a PowerPoint download and a monthly allowance; NOXI also states editable text boxes and no watermark, while Canva warns the file may look different in PowerPoint. Gamma and Presentations.AI export from a one-time free pool. Prezi Basic generates for free but has no download.
| Tool | Free plan, as documented | PowerPoint on free? |
|---|---|---|
| NOXI | 1,000 credits a month, a deck ≈ 25; no card, no watermark | Editable .pptx |
| Gamma | 400 credits at signup that don't refresh; no card | .pptx with a badge |
| Presentations.AI | Starter $0, 200 credits, up to 20 slides | Export ticked; watermark not stated |
| Canva | Up to 20 AI uses, reset monthly | PPTX in download help; may look different |
| Pitch | 100 lifetime credits | Export on Plus |
| Decktopus | First deck free | Export on Pro |
| Prezi Basic | 500 credits until used; public content | Download on Plus |
PowerPoint with Copilot, Beautiful.ai and Gemini in Slides offer trials rather than free plans.
Open-source Prezi alternatives and other sites like Prezi
Open-source zooming tools are editors or code frameworks, not AI deck makers, so they are listed without scores.
- Sozi is "a 'zooming' presentation editor" under MPL-2.0 [14]; you draw the canvas as an SVG.
- impress.js is an MIT-licensed framework built on CSS3 transforms, inspired by Prezi [15]; you write the talk in HTML.
- reveal.js is "an open source HTML presentation framework" [25], slide-based.
- Genially builds interactive content, creates from a prompt with its AI Builder, and shows "+46M" users [26].
- Visme offers a free Basic plan with 10 AI credits a month; PPTX download is listed on Business, US$24.75 per person a month [27].
Prezi alternatives on Reddit and review sites: how to check a recommendation
Threads recommend from memory, and plans change. Before you switch, check three facts on the vendor's own pages: is free content public, which plan downloads an editable PowerPoint, and do AI credits refresh.
Prezi AI alternatives: which tools draft a deck with AI and sources
Every tool here drafts with AI; the difference is what the draft rests on. NOXI documents a source line on data slides for prompt-started decks; Gamma and Beautiful.ai document cited research without saying where it appears; the others keep research in the chat or document none. Prezi AI's strength is editing after the draft: rework a slide, change the palette or apply your brand [8], which earns it 5 on editing depth.
What these rules don't measure
These rules don't measure presenting style, design taste, speed or audience features, and several alternatives lead NOXI on those.
- Prezi: the zooming, open-canvas presenting format, which no other scored tool documents, plus Prezi Video for presenting over video calls and EDU plans from $4 a month billed annually.
- Gamma: web publishing of decks, docs and sites, detailed analytics and advanced sharing on Pro, an API and MCP server on every plan including Free, and 100M+ people who have used it.
- PowerPoint with Copilot: it works inside the file Microsoft 365 users already have, with Brand Kit, Designer, Zoom and Morph, and organisations on Microsoft 365 have no new tool to approve.
- Canva: a very large design and template library, Brand Templates, team design workflows, and video and social formats in the same editor.
- Beautiful.ai: Smart Slides that re-layout automatically, right-to-left themes, and a PowerPoint add-in, API and MCP connector.
- Gemini in Google Slides: it sits inside Slides, Drive and Gmail.
- Pitch, Decktopus, Presentations.AI: team collaboration and analytics (Pitch), brand import from a website (Decktopus), Brand Sync from a URL and a REST API (Presentations.AI).
Not measured for anyone: output quality, speed, how often a tool invents a figure, accessibility, comments and review workflows, video, quizzes and offline presenting. NOXI's in-app export notices are not scored either; the sensitivity list shows what they would change.
Worked example: a trainer prices his way out of Prezi Plus
Example Daniel Okafor, a fictional corporate trainer, pays for Prezi Plus so he can download decks for clients, who now ask for editable PowerPoint files. He wants the same deliverable for less and keeps a zoom opening for two workshops a year.
| Option | Yearly cost | Arithmetic | Saving vs Prezi Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prezi Plus (today) | $180 | $15 × 12, billed annually | — |
| Beautiful.ai Pro | $174 | $14.50 × 12 | $6 (3.3%) |
| Canva Pro | $144 | US$144 a year | $36 (20%) |
| Gamma Plus | $108 | $9 × 12, billed annually | $72 (40%) |
| Microsoft 365 Personal | $99.99 | yearly price | $80.01 (44.4%) |
| NOXI | $0 | 12 decks × 25 credits = 300 of 1,000 a month | $180 (100%) |
Check: 6 ÷ 180 = 0.033; 36 ÷ 180 = 0.20; 72 ÷ 180 = 0.40; 80.01 ÷ 180 = 0.4445, rounded to 44.4%. At 12 decks a month, Daniel has 700 NOXI credits to spare.
His decision. NOXI for client decks, built from his workshop handouts and downloaded as editable PowerPoint; Microsoft 365 Personal for the two workshops where he wants a Summary Zoom opening on his desktop. Total: $99.99 a year, $80.01 less than Prezi Plus. He will review the choice on 1 June 2027, when his Prezi renewal would have fallen due.

Here are three slides from the deck NOXI built for this article's worked example, unedited.

Key terms
Build it: turn your Prezi talk into an editable PowerPoint with NOXI
If your Prezi talk exists as an outline, script or handout, NOXI's Create from file builds a structured deck from it, which you edit by chat and download as an editable PowerPoint. Starting from a file, web research is off by default; your numbers come from your document.
Turn the attached [workshop handout] into a [10]-slide deck for [operations managers at a client firm]. Keep my section order, write every slide title as a full-sentence finding, open with an overview slide that lists the [four] sections, and end with [three] actions and a review date of [1 June 2027].
On slide 2, show the [four] sections as numbered cards with one line each, and repeat that overview as a short divider before each section, with the current section highlighted.
Cut every slide to one idea and no more than [30] words, move the cost arithmetic onto one slide as a table, and keep the figures exactly as in my file.
Step 1 — Choose Create from file
Open noxi.ai, create a free account (no card needed) and choose Create from file on Home.
Step 2 — Attach your talk
Attach your outline, script or handout as a Word document or PDF, up to 200 MB, and paste Prompt 1 with your audience, slide count and section order.
Step 3 — Watch the deck being built
NOXI turns the file into a structured deck. Watch each slide being built and check that the titles follow your sections.
Step 4 — Edit by chat
Ask the AI in plain English to change one slide or the whole deck, or click any element and say what to change, for example with Prompt 2 for an overview opening.
Step 5 — Check your figures
Edit text right on the slide, and type your checked numbers into the chart's data editor so every figure matches your handout.
Step 6 — Present, share or download
Present full-screen, share a view-only link, or download an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) with real text boxes and embedded fonts, or a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best alternative to Prezi?
- It depends on why you are leaving. On seven documented rules checked on 25 October 2026, NOXI scores 98, PowerPoint with Copilot and Gamma 83 each and Canva 80, while Prezi scores 62. If you want a zoom format, PowerPoint's Summary Zoom on desktop is the closest; if you want an editable PowerPoint for free, NOXI documents one.
- Is there a free Prezi alternative?
- Yes. NOXI documents free generation, an editable PowerPoint download and no watermark, with 1,000 credits a month. Canva's help lists PPTX download with no plan restriction, with 20 AI uses a month on Free. Gamma gives 400 credits at signup with a badge on exports, and Presentations.AI has a $0 Starter plan with 200 credits.
- Is Prezi free?
- Prezi's Basic plan is free, with 500 AI credits that stay in your account until used, up to 10 talking points and essential creation tools. Basic content is public, and download, privacy control and watermark-free presentations need a paid plan. Plus costs $15 a month billed annually, as shown on Prezi's pricing page.
- Can Prezi export to PowerPoint?
- Yes. Since February 2026 Prezi lets you download a presentation as a PPTX file from the dashboard or the editor, with a slide version of every frame. Download is listed from the Plus plan. Prezi's pages don't state whether the text stays editable, so test one file before promising an editable deck.
- Does PowerPoint have a Prezi-style zoom?
- Partly. PowerPoint's Summary Zoom, Slide Zoom and Section Zoom jump between slides with a zoom effect, and Morph animates smooth movement between slides. Microsoft documents creating Zoom in the Windows and Mac desktop apps, including Microsoft 365 and PowerPoint 2021 and 2024, and lists no Zoom for PowerPoint for the web. It is not a single open canvas.
- Prezi or Canva?
- Choose Canva for its design library, imports from PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and right-to-left page mirroring; choose Prezi for zooming across an open canvas. On seven documented rules Canva scores 80 and Prezi 62. Canva's help lists PPTX download with no plan restriction; Prezi's download starts at Plus.
- Prezi or Gamma?
- Choose Gamma for AI drafts from more file types, Arabic and other right-to-left text, and a free plan that exports, with a badge on free files. Choose Prezi for zooming and for EDU pricing from $4 a month. On seven documented rules Gamma scores 83 and Prezi 62, and both score full marks on editing depth.
- Is there an open-source Prezi alternative?
- Yes, for people comfortable with editors or code. Sozi is "a 'zooming' presentation editor" released under MPL-2.0, where you draw the canvas as an SVG. impress.js is a browser framework inspired by Prezi, under the MIT licence, and reveal.js is an open-source HTML slide framework. None of them drafts slides with AI.
- Which Prezi alternative works in Arabic?
- NOXI, Canva and Beautiful.ai document right-to-left layout and score 5 for languages here; Gamma supports right-to-left languages including Arabic and scores 4. NOXI also has a full Arabic interface and slides where timelines and tables run right-to-left. Prezi's interface language list has no Arabic; it says Prezi AI generates in any language its model supports.
- Is Tome still available?
- No page could be opened. On 25 October 2026 tome.app returned an HTTP 404 "deployment not found" error, and no official page described a presentation product, so Tome is not scored here. If you have old Tome decks, work from the files you exported; the free alternatives above cover the same job.
