Quick answer: Pick Gemini if you want images and video, the cheapest paid plan ($4.99 a month) and storage with Gmail and Docs. Pick Claude if you want your own connector on the free plan, a $200 annual Pro plan and Word, Excel and PowerPoint files from the chat. Both publish a 1-million-token window near $20. Score: Gemini 94, Claude 85 (24 October 2026).
The top Claude vs Gemini (or Gemini vs Claude) results we read on 24 October 2026 compare 2024–2025 model versions without today's plans side by side. This page reads both companies' own pages on one day, links every score and prints every rule, so you can re-run it.

How we compared Claude and Gemini
Claude and Gemini were scored on documented capability: seven criteria, one written rule each, applied the same way to both. Answer quality, writing style and coding skill are not scored.
| Code | Criterion | Weight | The rule (identical for both) |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | Free plan | 20 | Count five capabilities documented for the free plan: web search, file uploads, image generation, file creation (a .docx, .pptx, .xlsx or PDF, or export to Docs or Slides), connections to other apps. 5 = all five; 4 = four; 3 = three; 2 = two; 1 = 0–1. |
| A2 | Entry price | 10 | The cheapest paid tier per month; annual price ÷ 12 if annual billing is published. 5 = $10 or less; 4 = $10.01–15; 3 = $15.01–20; 2 = $20.01–30; 1 = over $30. |
| A3 | Long documents | 10 | The largest context window published for the plan nearest $20 a month, on a consumer page that opens without signing in. 5 = 1M tokens or more; 3 = 128K to under 1M; 1 = under 128K; 2 = not published. |
| A4 | Tools on the ~$20 plan | 20 | Count six tools: web search, deep research, image generation, voice conversation (spoken back-and-forth, not dictation), file creation, video generation. 5 = 5–6; 4 = 4; 3 = 3; 2 = 2; 1 = 0–1. |
| A5 | Add-ons | 15 | 5 = custom MCP connectors on free and paid personal plans; 4 = paid personal plans only, or with age or region limits; 3 = an app or plugin directory for individuals, custom MCP only in business plans; 2 = built-in links to a few services; 1 = none. |
| A6 | Training control | 15 | 5 = consumer chats are not used for training; 4 = an opt-out setting plus a chat mode excluded from training; 3 = an opt-out setting only; 2 = opt-out by request or form; 1 = no opt-out stated. |
| A7 | Where it works | 10 | Count six surfaces: web, desktop app, mobile app, browser extension or own browser, office-suite add-in or integration, own coding agent. 5 = 6; 4 = 5; 3 = 4; 2 = 3; 1 = 2 or fewer. |
Two clarifications apply to both: a capability counts when an official page lists it for that plan or for the product with no plan limit, and a context window must be published for the consumer plan, not on a developer (API) page.
The scored table: Gemini 94, Claude 85
Gemini scores 94 and Claude 85 out of 100 on the seven rules. Gemini gains 12 points on the free plan, the entry price and the tools near $20; Claude wins 3 back on add-ons. Long documents, training control and surfaces are level.

| Criterion | Gemini: rating and reason | Claude: rating and reason | Lead |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 Free plan (20) | 5. Without a plan, the help-centre table ticks Canvas, connected apps, slide generation, Deep Research and image generation; uploads work for any signed-in user; web search counts through Deep Research [5][19][22] | 4. Free lists "Search the web, create files, and run code" and "Connect your apps and tools"; the upload article has no plan limit; image generation is not documented [3][8][18] | Gemini +4 |
| A2 Entry price (10) | 5. Google AI Plus at $4.99 a month [4] | 3. Pro at $200 a year ÷ 12 = $16.67 a month [3] | Gemini +4 |
| A3 Long documents (10) | 5. "AI Pro & AI Ultra: 1 million tokens" [5] | 5. Pro: "Up to 1M", varies by model; other models 500K or 200K [3][7] | Level |
| A4 Tools on ~$20 (20) | 5. AI Pro at $19.99: Deep Research, image generation, video generation, slide generation with export, Gemini Live, search through Deep Research. That is 6 of 6 [4][5] | 4. Pro: web search, Research, voice mode, file creation. No image or video generation. That is 4 of 6 [3][8] | Gemini +4 |
| A5 Add-ons (15) | 4. Custom MCP apps for personal accounts, but you must "Be 18 or over and in the US" with Keep Activity on; no plan required [11] | 5. Custom connectors "for users on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans"; Free is limited to one [10] | Claude +3 |
| A6 Training control (15) | 4. With Keep Activity off, chats "won't be used to train our AI models"; "Temporary chats are not used to train Google's AI models" [14] | 4. "Help Improve our AI models" can be switched off; "Incognito chats are not used for training" [12][13] | Level |
| A7 Where it works (10) | 5. Web, Mac app (with a Windows app), mobile, Gemini in Chrome, Gemini in Gmail and Docs, Jules and Antigravity coding agents. That is 6 [4][20] | 5. Web, desktop, mobile, Claude in Chrome, Claude for Microsoft 365, Claude Code. That is 6 [3] | Level |
The arithmetic, row by row
Each weighted score is the rating divided by 5, times the criterion's weight. The totals are the sums of the seven weighted scores.
| Criterion | Gemini | Claude | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 (20) | 5 ÷ 5 × 20 = 20 | 4 ÷ 5 × 20 = 16 | Gemini +4 |
| A2 (10) | 5 ÷ 5 × 10 = 10 | 3 ÷ 5 × 10 = 6 | Gemini +4 |
| A3 (10) | 5 ÷ 5 × 10 = 10 | 5 ÷ 5 × 10 = 10 | 0 |
| A4 (20) | 5 ÷ 5 × 20 = 20 | 4 ÷ 5 × 20 = 16 | Gemini +4 |
| A5 (15) | 4 ÷ 5 × 15 = 12 | 5 ÷ 5 × 15 = 15 | Claude +3 |
| A6 (15) | 4 ÷ 5 × 15 = 12 | 4 ÷ 5 × 15 = 12 | 0 |
| A7 (10) | 5 ÷ 5 × 10 = 10 | 5 ÷ 5 × 10 = 10 | 0 |
| Total | 20 + 10 + 10 + 20 + 12 + 12 + 10 = 94 | 16 + 6 + 10 + 16 + 15 + 12 + 10 = 85 | Gemini +12, Claude +3: Gemini by 9 |
Why Gemini leads, and by how much
The 9 points are 4 + 4 + 4 − 3. Two of Gemini's gains rest on one capability Claude does not document, making images (A1) and images and video (A4); the third is the $4.99 tier against Claude Pro at $16.67 a month. Claude's one lead is add-ons: Gemini's custom apps need a US user aged 18 or over with activity saved.
What would change the result
- Gemini A1, web search: counted through Deep Research on the free plan, which uses Google Search as a source by default [22]. No Gemini help page says "web search" in those words. Without it, Gemini's A1 falls to 4 and its total to 90: still 5 points ahead.
- Gemini A4, video: the AI Pro FAQ describes video as a limited trial [4]. Without video, AI Pro still counts 5 of 6 tools, so the rating stays 5.

Claude vs Gemini vs ChatGPT
On the same seven rules on 24 October 2026, ChatGPT totals 90: second, between Gemini (94) and Claude (85). See ChatGPT vs Gemini, ChatGPT vs Claude, and the best AI chatbot ranking for all nine assistants on the same rules.
Claude vs Gemini pricing: plans side by side
Claude has three personal tiers: Free, Pro at $20 a month or $200 a year, and Max from $100. Google has four: no plan, AI Plus at $4.99, AI Pro at $19.99 and Ultra from $99.99, monthly only, with storage in every paid tier.
| Step | Claude, per month | Gemini, per month | 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 (15 GB) | $0 on both |
| Low-cost | No tier below Pro | AI Plus $4.99 (400 GB) | AI Plus: 12 × $4.99 = $59.88 |
| Near $20 | Pro $20, or $200 a year | AI Pro $19.99 (5 TB) | Pro: $240 monthly or $200 annual; AI Pro: 12 × $19.99 = $239.88 |
| Heavy use | Max from $100 | Ultra from $99.99 (from 20 TB) | Max: from $1,200; Ultra: from 12 × $99.99 = $1,199.88 |
| Team seat | Team Standard $20 annual, $25 monthly | Not scored here | Claude: $240 annual or $300 monthly per seat |
In the vendors' words, AI Plus adds "2x higher usage access than Free", 400 GB and video generation, and AI Pro "4x higher usage access than Free", 5 TB and coding-agent limits [4]; Claude Pro adds more usage, Research, Claude Code, Projects, and Claude in Chrome and Microsoft 365 [3].
Claude Pro vs Gemini Pro
Claude Pro and Google AI Pro cost almost the same monthly: $20 against $19.99, or $240.00 against $239.88 a year; Claude Pro drops to $200 paid annually, which Google's US page does not offer. The bundles differ more: AI Pro includes 5 TB of storage, image and video generation and Gemini inside Gmail and Docs; Claude Pro includes Office-format file creation on every plan, a custom connector rule with no country limit, and Claude Code [3][4][9][10].
Gemini Pro vs Claude Pro usage limits
Neither vendor publishes a message count for its $20 plan; both reset usage every five hours with a weekly cap, and AI Pro gets 4x Gemini's standard limits [3][5][17].
Worked example: one researcher, one subscription for 2027
A year of Claude Pro paid annually costs $39.88 less than a year of Google AI Pro, and re-weighting toward connectors narrows Gemini's lead from 9 points to 5. In the end one documented need decides.
Step 1: the cost of a year
Twelve months cost $59.88 on Google AI Plus (12 × $4.99), $200.00 on Claude Pro annual, $239.88 on Google AI Pro (12 × $19.99) and $240.00 on Claude Pro monthly (12 × $20). Claude Pro on annual billing saves $239.88 − $200.00 = $39.88 against Google AI Pro, which is $39.88 ÷ $239.88 = 16.6% less. Google AI Plus is the cheapest paid option at $59.88, $200.00 − $59.88 = $140.12 below Claude Pro annual, but it publishes a 128K-token window, not 1 million.

Step 2: does her material fit?
Hana's 2027 project has 40 interview transcripts of about 9,000 words: 40 × 9,000 = 360,000 words. Google says "100 tokens is equal to about 60-80 English words" [23], so 360,000 words is 360,000 ÷ 80 × 100 = 450,000 to 360,000 ÷ 60 × 100 = 600,000 tokens. That is 450,000 ÷ 128,000 = 3.5 to 600,000 ÷ 128,000 = 4.7 times the AI Plus window, and 45% to 60% of the 1-million-token window on AI Pro or Claude Pro. Claude counts tokens its own way, so treat this as a guide: the set fits the larger window on either and not AI Plus.
Step 3: re-weight the rubric to her priorities
Her research tools must connect to the assistant and the free plan does not matter to her, so she moves 10 points of weight from A1 (free plan) to A5 (add-ons): A1 = 10, A5 = 25. Check: 10 + 10 + 10 + 20 + 25 + 15 + 10 = 100.
| Criterion (her weight) | Gemini | Claude |
|---|---|---|
| A1 (10) | 5 ÷ 5 × 10 = 10 | 4 ÷ 5 × 10 = 8 |
| A2 (10) | 10 | 6 |
| A3 (10) | 10 | 10 |
| A4 (20) | 20 | 16 |
| A5 (25) | 4 ÷ 5 × 25 = 20 | 5 ÷ 5 × 25 = 25 |
| A6 (15) | 12 | 12 |
| A7 (10) | 10 | 10 |
| Total | 10 + 10 + 10 + 20 + 20 + 12 + 10 = 92 | 8 + 6 + 10 + 16 + 25 + 12 + 10 = 87 |
Gemini still leads, 92 to 87; the gap shrinks from 9 to 5 because Claude allows custom connectors on every plan. Hana picks Claude Pro on annual billing anyway, for one documented reason her weights do not capture: her clients want Word reports, and Claude creates .docx files straight from the chat [9]. She keeps Gemini's free plan for the occasional cover image and sets a review date of 1 May 2027. Your weights will differ: write down the jobs you pay for, re-weight, and recompute.
Here are two slides from this article's worked example, as NOXI built them, unedited.

Is Claude better than Gemini? The task chooser
Claude is better than Gemini for some documented jobs and Gemini for others: Gemini makes images and video, costs less to start and bundles storage; Claude allows your own connector on the free plan, bills annually and turns a chat into Office files. Where both document a capability, the answer is "either".
| If you need… | Choose | The documented reason |
|---|---|---|
| Images in the chat | Gemini | Image generation on every plan; Claude "doesn't generate photos or illustrations" [5][8] |
| Video generation | Gemini (AI Plus and up) | Listed from AI Plus; no Claude plan lists it [3][4] |
| The cheapest paid plan | Gemini (AI Plus, $4.99) | Claude's cheapest paid tier is Pro at $16.67 a month on annual billing [3][4] |
| Storage with your plan | Gemini | 400 GB on AI Plus, 5 TB on AI Pro [4] |
| AI inside Gmail and Docs | Gemini | AI Pro lists "Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Vids, and more" [4] |
| Your own connector, free | Claude | Free: one custom connector; Gemini custom apps need a US user aged 18 or over [10][11] |
| An annual discount | Claude ($200 a year) | Google's US page shows monthly prices only [3][4] |
| Word, Excel, PowerPoint files | Claude | .docx, .xlsx, .pptx and PDF on every plan; Gemini exports Canvas to Docs, Slides or PDF [9][16] |
| Very long documents | Either | Both publish 1M tokens near $20; Gemini's free window is 32K [3][5] |
| A coding agent | Either | Claude Code from Pro; Jules and Antigravity limits from AI Pro [3][4] |
| Opting out of training | Either | Both have a setting plus a chat mode not used for training [12][13][14] |

Is Gemini better than Claude?
On the seven printed rules, yes: 94 to 85, mostly for images, video and the $4.99 tier. If you need none of those, the remaining rules put the two level or Claude ahead.
Which is better, Claude or Gemini?
If you can name the job, the table answers it. If you cannot, use both free plans for a week on your own work, then pay for the one whose limits you hit first.
Claude vs Gemini for coding
For coding, both vendors ship coding agents: Claude Code is included from Claude Pro, and Google AI Pro lists higher limits for Jules, Google's asynchronous coding agent, and entry limits for its Antigravity platform. Neither plan page publishes a code-quality measure, so the documented difference is access, not skill.
Anthropic's pricing table shows Claude Code on Pro and Max, not on Free, and every model listed for Claude Code has a 1M-token window [3][7]. Google lists "Higher limits to our asynchronous coding agent for software developers" and "Entry rate limits to agent model in Google Antigravity" on AI Pro, the highest limits on Ultra, and neither agent without a plan [4].
Is Claude better than Gemini Pro for coding? No official page answers that, and benchmark leaderboards change with each model release. If you code daily, compare both vendors' weekly limits in the month you subscribe.
Claude vs Gemini for writing and research
For writing, the documented difference is the files you get out: Claude creates Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files on every plan, while Gemini's Canvas exports to Google Docs, Google Slides or PDF. For research, Gemini lists Deep Research on every plan, Claude lists Research from Pro.
Claude vs Gemini for writing
Neither vendor publishes a writing-quality measure, so give both the same brief and source file and judge the drafts yourself. What the pages document:
- Files out. Claude creates .xlsx, .pptx, .docx and PDF files for "all Claude users" [9]; Gemini's Canvas can "create or edit a doc, app, slides, or code" and export it [16].
- Long drafts. Both publish 1M tokens near $20; without a plan Gemini publishes 32K, while Claude shows "Up to 1M" on Free too [3][5].
Claude vs Gemini for research
Gemini's Deep Research runs "in-depth and real-time research on almost any subject", uses Google Search as a source by default, can add Gmail or Drive, "usually takes about 5-10 minutes", and exports with Export to Docs; you must be 18 or over [22]. It is ticked for every plan [5]. Claude's Research is on Pro and Max, not Free, which still lists web search [3].
Claude vs Gemini for studying and students
For US college students, Gemini has the documented offer: Google AI Pro free for one year for eligible students aged 18 and over who redeem by 31 December 2026. Anthropic's education page describes a university-wide plan for institutions and lists no individual student discount.
The offer is worth 12 × $19.99 = $239.88 in the first year. Claude's page describes "A comprehensive university-wide plan for institutions, including its students, faculty, and staff", with a learning mode that "asks questions that help you find the answers yourself" [21]; if your university licenses Claude, use that licence.
For studying itself, the documented tools are Gemini's Deep Research and Canvas quizzes on the free plan, Google's research notebook, now named Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM) [24], and Claude's long free-plan context window and file creation [3][16]. Check your course's rules on AI use first.
Claude vs Gemini context window and usage limits
Both publish a 1-million-token context window on the plan near $20: Claude "Up to 1M", varying by model, on every plan; Gemini 32K without a plan, 128K on AI Plus and 1 million on AI Pro and Ultra. Both reset usage every five hours with a weekly cap on top.
| Limit | Claude | Gemini |
|---|---|---|
| Context, free | "Up to 1M", varies by model [3] | 32K tokens [5] |
| Context, low-cost | No tier below Pro | AI Plus: 128K tokens [5] |
| Context, near $20 | Pro: "Up to 1M"; other models 500K or 200K [3][7] | AI Pro: 1 million tokens [5] |
| Usage cycle | Rolling five-hour session window; paid plans add weekly limits [3][17] | "Your limit refreshes every 5 hours until you reach your weekly limit" [5] |
| Paid multipliers | Max: "5x or 20x more usage than Pro" [3] | AI Plus 2x, AI Pro 4x the standard limits; Ultra 5x or 20x AI Pro [5] |
| Uploads | 500 MB per file, up to 20 files per chat, no plan limit stated [18] | Up to 10 files per prompt, 100 MB each, video up to 2 GB; total video length 5 minutes, 1 hour on AI Pro and Ultra [19] |
If you hit the weekly cap, the next tier up is $100 on Claude (Max) and $99.99 on Google (Ultra).
Claude vs Gemini image generation, video and voice
Gemini generates and edits images on every plan, including without a plan, and adds video generation from Google AI Plus. Claude documents neither: its help centre says it "doesn't generate photos or illustrations the way image-generation tools do". Both offer spoken conversation: Gemini Live and Claude's voice mode.
Can Claude generate images?
No, on Anthropic's own wording (help article dated 16 March 2026) [8]. Claude reads images you upload and builds Artifacts and files, but image generation is the capability it misses in both A1 and A4. Gemini lists "Image generation and editing" on the free plan, and Google says the app "now generates 150 million+ images every day" (11 August 2026) [1][4].
Video and voice
AI Plus and AI Pro list "access to more features like video generation", with AI Pro's video described as a limited trial; no Claude plan lists video [3][4]. Gemini Live is on the free plan, and Claude shows voice mode on Free, Pro and Max [3][4]. We do not score image or voice quality.
Claude connectors vs Gemini connected apps
Claude lets every plan add a custom connector, a remote MCP server, with one on Free and no age or country rule in its help article. Gemini ticks connected apps for every plan and lets a personal Google account add a custom MCP app, but only for US users aged 18 or over with Keep Activity on: 3 points to Claude on rule A5.
On Claude. Custom connectors work on Claude, Cowork and Claude Desktop "for users on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans", and "Free users are limited to one custom connector"; on Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector first [10]. The steps are in the Build-it section below.
On Gemini. Google's requirements for custom apps are a personal account ("Work or school accounts are not currently supported"), "Be 18 or over and in the US", and "Have Keep Activity on"; custom apps are unavailable when Keep Activity is off. You add them only on gemini.google.com, under Settings, Connected Apps, Custom apps, "Add a custom app", then the MCP server URL [11]. Google's own apps need no setup: AI Plus lists Gemini in Gmail and Vids, and AI Pro adds Docs [4].
The trade-off: on Gemini, the setting that keeps your chats out of training also switches off custom apps; Claude's connector article lists no such condition. Our guide to Claude connectors, ChatGPT plugins and MCP walks through adding one step by step.
Does Claude or Gemini train on my chats?
Both may use consumer chats to improve their models, and both let you stop it: Claude's pricing table lists model training as "Opt-out". Claude's switch is "Help Improve our AI models" under Settings, Privacy; Gemini's is Keep Activity. Both also offer a chat mode that is never used for training: Claude's Incognito chats, kept 30 days by default, and Gemini's Temporary chats, kept 72 hours. Both score 4 of 5 on rule A6.
| Control | Claude | Gemini |
|---|---|---|
| Training switch | "Help Improve our AI models": when off, Anthropic "will not use any new chats and coding sessions" for future training (page dated 3 August 2026) [12] | Keep Activity off: future chats "won't be used to train our AI models", except feedback you send [14] |
| Where to find it | Your name menu > Settings > Privacy [12] | The Keep Activity setting in Gemini Apps [14] |
| No-training chat | Incognito: "Incognito chats are not used for training", all plans [13] | "Temporary chats are not used to train Google's AI models" [14] |
| Kept for | Incognito chats: 30 days by default [13] | Temporary chats and chats with Keep Activity off: 72 hours [14] |
| Team plans | Team and Enterprise: model training "None by default" [3] | Not scored on this page |
Two dates matter: Anthropic's privacy article dated 3 August 2026 calls the switch "Help Improve our AI models", though some older Anthropic pages still say "Model Improvement" [12], and Google updated its Privacy Hub on 23 October 2026 [14].
Claude vs Gemini for everyday use
For everyday personal use, Gemini's free plan covers more documented ground: it adds image generation and Deep Research, and its first paid tier costs $4.99 with 400 GB. Claude's free plan suits people with long documents, who want Office files from the chat or one connector of their own.
Both reach the same six surfaces: web, a desktop app (Claude Desktop; Gemini's Mac app, with a Windows app as well), mobile apps, the browser (Claude in Chrome; Gemini in Chrome), office software (Claude for Microsoft 365; Gemini in Gmail and Docs) and a coding agent [3][4][20].
What the Claude vs Gemini Reddit threads argue about
The searches behind "Claude vs Gemini Reddit" come down to four questions: how fast the limits run out, whether Claude can make images, whether the Google bundle is worth it, and which writes or codes better. The first three have documented answers above. The fourth changes with every model update, and no official page answers it.
Claude vs Gemini in 2026
On 24 October 2026 the line-ups read: Claude Free, Pro and Max, with Claude Design, Slides and Docs on Free [3]; Google's no-plan tier, AI Plus, AI Pro and Ultra [4]. We re-check this page monthly against the same seven rules.
What the rubric does not measure
The seven rules measure what a vendor documents before you pay, not answer quality, accuracy, writing style, coding benchmarks or speed: no official page publishes those in a form a printed rule can score. Answers also change with each model release. The fair test is your own: run three weekly tasks on both free plans with the same files, and check every number or citation against its source; our guide to AI hallucinations shows how.
If your goal is a presentation
If the job is a slide deck, both assistants document slide output: Claude creates .pptx files on every plan and lists Claude Slides on Free, and Gemini lists slide generation on every plan, with Canvas exporting to Google Slides or PDF. A dedicated presentation maker is a third route, and NOXI is our pick for turning a conversation into a designed, editable deck.
We compare these as presentation tools on separate pages: Claude for presentations and the best AI for Google Slides, with Gemini in Slides; for charts built from your own data, see AI chart makers compared.
NOXI builds a full, designed deck from a topic, a brief or an outline. When you start from a prompt, it researches the topic on the web first, and slides with figures carry a source line. You edit one slide or the whole deck by chat, present full-screen or share a link, and download an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) with real text boxes and embedded fonts, Arabic included, or a PDF, with no watermark. NOXI is free: each account gets a monthly allowance of 1,000 credits, and a full deck uses about 25. You can also connect NOXI to your assistant with the address on noxi.ai/connect, which lists ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and Codex as well; the Claude connector path is below.
Three prompts to use once NOXI is connected
"Using our conversation above, create a 9-slide NOXI presentation for [audience]. Slide 1 states the decision. Every title is a full-sentence finding, every price keeps its currency and date, and the last slide lists the decision, the owner and the review date."
"Turn this Claude vs Gemini comparison into an 8-slide NOXI deck for [team]: the verdict, plans and 12-month prices, the seven rules with the arithmetic, the task chooser and a recommendation. Keep body text under 30 words per slide."
"In my latest NOXI deck, turn slide [number] into a side-by-side table of Claude Pro and Google AI Pro, shorten every title to one line, then export the deck as PowerPoint."
Build it: make the deck in NOXI from inside Claude
To make a deck from a Claude chat, add NOXI as a custom connector with the server address from noxi.ai/connect, sign in to NOXI once, then ask for the deck. On Claude's free plan it can be your one custom connector. One flow, six steps:
Step 1 — Copy the server address from noxi.ai/connect
Open noxi.ai/connect and copy the server address, https://mcp.noxi.ai/mcp. You sign in to NOXI in your browser, so there is no API key to copy.
Step 2 — Open the custom connector form in Claude
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector: the path Anthropic's help centre gives for Pro and Max. On Free you can add one custom connector. In a Team or Enterprise organization, an owner may need to add the connector first.
Step 3 — Enter the name and the server URL
Enter NOXI as the name, paste https://mcp.noxi.ai/mcp as the remote MCP server URL and click Continue. Review the detected authentication settings and click Continue; noxi.ai/connect says to leave the advanced settings empty, because no client ID is needed.
Step 4 — Sign in to NOXI and approve access
Click Add, then Connect, and sign in to your NOXI account in the window that opens. The consent screen lists what the assistant may do, such as reading your presentations and creating, editing and exporting them; approve access.
Step 5 — Ask for the deck in the chat
Name NOXI in your request, for example "Create a 9-slide NOXI presentation: Claude or Gemini for 2027", or paste Prompt 1 after the comparison you have already worked through in the chat. When NOXI creates or changes a deck, the PDF and PowerPoint files arrive in the chat.
Step 6 — Open the deck in NOXI to edit, present or export
Open the deck in NOXI to edit any slide or the whole deck by chat, present it full-screen, share a view-only link, or download an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) or a PDF. You can disconnect the connector at any time in Claude's connector settings.
The connect page adds two practical details: connectors added on the web or in Claude Desktop also work in the Claude mobile apps, and a connection stays active for up to a year while you use it at least once a month [25].
Claude vs Gemini: FAQ
- Is Claude better than Gemini?
- Not overall, on documented facts: on seven rules checked on 24 October 2026, Gemini scores 94 and Claude 85. Gemini leads on images, video, the $4.99 entry plan and its free plan. Claude leads on custom connectors, with one allowed on its free plan. Neither vendor documents writing or coding quality, so test both yourself.
- Which is better for coding, Claude or Gemini?
- Both include coding agents on paid plans: Claude Code starts on Claude Pro, and Google AI Pro lists higher limits for its Jules agent and entry limits for Antigravity. Neither plan page publishes a code-quality measure, so compare which plan includes the agent and the weekly limits in the month you subscribe.
- Which is better for writing, Claude or Gemini?
- Neither vendor publishes a writing-quality measure. The documented difference is output: Claude creates Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files on every plan, while Gemini's Canvas exports to Google Docs, Google Slides or PDF. Both publish a 1-million-token window near $20. Give both the same brief and compare the drafts.
- How much do Claude Pro and Gemini Pro cost?
- Claude Pro costs $20 a month billed monthly, or $200 a year up front, which is about $17 a month. Google AI Pro costs $19.99 a month on Google's US page, with no annual price shown. Over 12 months that is $240.00 or $200.00 for Claude and $239.88 for Google, as checked on 24 October 2026.
- Can Claude generate images?
- No. Anthropic's help centre says "Claude doesn't generate photos or illustrations the way image-generation tools do", and no Claude plan lists image generation. Claude can read images you upload and build files and Artifacts. Gemini lists image generation and editing on every plan, including without a plan, and video generation from Google AI Plus.
- Which has the bigger context window, Claude or Gemini?
- On the plan near $20 they match: Claude Pro lists "Up to 1M" tokens, varying by model, and Google AI Pro lists 1 million tokens. The free plans differ. Gemini without a plan publishes 32K tokens and AI Plus 128K, while Claude's pricing table shows "Up to 1M" on Free as well, varying by model.
- Is Gemini free for students?
- Eligible US college students aged 18 and over can get Google AI Pro free for one year if they redeem by 31 December 2026. A payment method is required, eligibility is checked every year, and the plan then costs $19.99 a month unless cancelled. Claude's higher-education plan is sold to institutions, and its page lists no individual student offer.
- Does Claude or Gemini train on my chats?
- Both may, unless you opt out. On Claude, switch off "Help Improve our AI models" under Settings, Privacy, or use an Incognito chat, kept 30 days by default. On Gemini, turn Keep Activity off or use a Temporary chat, kept 72 hours. Turning Keep Activity off also switches off Gemini's custom apps.
- Can I use Claude and Gemini together?
- Yes. Both have free plans, so you can run them side by side. One split based on documented features is Gemini's free plan for images and Deep Research, plus a paid Claude plan for long files, custom connectors and Word or PowerPoint output. That costs $200 to $240 a year, the price of Claude Pro alone.
- Can Claude or Gemini make a PowerPoint?
- Yes, both document slide output. Claude creates .pptx files on every plan and lists Claude Slides on Free; Gemini lists slide generation on every plan and exports Canvas slides to Google Slides or PDF. For a designed deck you edit by chat and download as an editable PowerPoint, you can also connect NOXI to Claude.
