Grok vs ChatGPT in 2026: Plans, Prices, Privacy and PowerPoint, Scored on 7 Rules

ChatGPT scores 90 and Grok 89 on seven printed assistant rules checked on 30 October 2026, and 90 vs 84 on our presentation rules. The X Subscription vs ChatGPT plans, SuperGrok explained, images and video, coding, X search, privacy settings and the Grok PowerPoint add-in's plan line.

Grok vs ChatGPT, a NOXI blog cover: two AI assistants one point apart on seven printed rules from official pages, ChatGPT 90 and Grok 89, with plans, prices and privacy settings side by side

Disclosure: NOXI publishes this page and appears in its presentation section as a reference row, scored on the same rules as Grok (SpaceXSI, xAI) and ChatGPT but kept outside the head-to-head. That's why the rules, weights and the source of every cell are printed, along with the rules where both assistants lead NOXI.

Grok vs ChatGPT: on our seven assistant rules, checked on 30 October 2026, ChatGPT leads Grok 90 to 89. Grok leads on custom connectors for every user; ChatGPT leads on a published context window and on where it runs. Both start at $8 a month. For slides, ChatGPT scores 90 and Grok 84.

Grok and ChatGPT (OpenAI) look alike from a distance: both are free to start, have an $8 entry plan, make images, search the web and build slide decks. The differences sit in the plan pages and help centres: what each tier includes, how training opt-outs work, where each runs and what video or a PowerPoint add-in costs. We read those pages on 30 October 2026, signed out.

Grok vs ChatGPT (2026): the verdict in one table

ChatGPT leads Grok by one point on the assistant rules (90 vs 89) and by six on the presentation rules (90 vs 84). Grok's plans are The X Subscription (Free, Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200); ChatGPT's are Free, Go $8, Plus $20 and Pro from $100.

NOXI (reference)not scored98A dedicated deck maker you can use inside ChatGPT as a plugin and inside Claude as a custom connectorFree, no card, no watermark

NOXI sits outside the head-to-head because it is a deck maker, not a chat assistant; it is printed in the slide column because people reach it through ChatGPT. Grok's totals are this page's own re-read of xAI's pages on 30 October 2026; its earlier readings, 83 on the assistant rules and 82 on the slide rules, are printed below as sensitivity lines.

Who should pick what

The one-point gap means the job decides, not the total. Each line rests on one fact from the vendor's own page, checked on 30 October 2026.

  • If you live on X and want the cheapest paid plan → Grok Plus ($8 a month), because it bundles Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build with X features such as the Premium checkmark, and Grok "searches the web and 𝕏 live".
  • If you read long reports and contracts → ChatGPT Plus ($20 a month), because OpenAI publishes a 256K reasoning context window for Plus, about 320 pages of input; xAI publishes no consumer figure.
  • If you want to plug your own tools into a free assistant → Grok, because xAI's connectors page lets any user add a Custom connector, while ChatGPT documents custom servers from Pro and developer mode from Plus.
  • If you need AI video in the chat → Grok Premium ($30 a month), because xAI includes video generation from Premium; ChatGPT's pricing table lists image creation but no video.
  • If you work in the browser and Office apps → ChatGPT, because OpenAI ships a ChatGPT browser extension for Chrome and Edge plus Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Sheets extensions; xAI documents Office add-ins but no browser extension.
  • If the goal is a designed deck → a deck maker such as NOXI, used inside ChatGPT as a plugin, because its reference row scores 98 on the presentation rules, against ChatGPT's 90 and Grok's 84.

Weighing a third or fourth assistant as well? Our nine-assistant ranking of the best AI chatbot scores Gemini and Claude on the same seven rules, and ChatGPT vs Gemini sets those two side by side.

How we compared Grok and ChatGPT

We scored Grok and ChatGPT on documented capability from official pages opened on 30 October 2026, signed out: plan and pricing pages, help centres, developer docs, legal FAQs and marketplace listings. These are the same seven rules as our ChatGPT vs Claude and ChatGPT vs Gemini pages, so the scores line up across all three.

Method Scored on documented capability from official vendor pages opened on 30 October 2026. Not a new hands-on test. Weighted score = rating ÷ 5 × weight; weights total 100. Where two official pages of one vendor disagree, the vendor's pricing or plan page decides; where help pages disagree, the lower reading is used; where an official page is silent, the lower anchor is used, and the alternative total is printed as a sensitivity line. Ties are broken on the heaviest criterion, then the next criterion in the table's order. Answer quality and accuracy are not scored, because no official page documents them. US prices in US dollars.

Changed recently (October 2026): Grok's consumer plans are now The X Subscription (Free, Plus, Premium, Super, Ultra), with SuperGrok kept for existing subscribers; xAI's pages now sign as SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXSI); and after re-reading xAI's Skills, connectors and add-in pages, Grok's totals on our rules rose from 83 to 89 (assistant) and from 82 to 84 (slides).

Grok vs ChatGPT scored: 90 vs 89, rule by rule

ChatGPT scores 90 and Grok 89 of 100: they tie on four of seven rules, ChatGPT gains 2 points on long documents and 2 on surfaces, and Grok gains 3 on add-ons. The arithmetic is 2 + 2 − 3 = 1.

Grok's totals on stricter readings are 85, 87 and 83, while ChatGPT stays at 90.
Four rules tie; ChatGPT gains on long documents and surfaces, Grok on add-ons, for a one-point gap.

Is Grok better than ChatGPT?

On these documented facts, no: Grok scores 89 and ChatGPT 90, a one-point gap, checked on 30 October 2026. Grok is ahead on one rule, custom connectors for every user, and its plans add video at $30 and X features at $8. Neither page measures answer quality, so the better assistant for your work is the one that handles your three most common tasks well.

How sensitive are the scores?

Grok's total rests on two readings of xAI's pages that changed since our 24 October check. Each line below changes one Grok cell under the same rule we apply to every assistant; nothing is re-weighted, and ChatGPT stays at 90 on every line.

  • Grok 85 if Skills on "every Grok account" is not read as free file creation (A1 4). xAI's news post says "Every Grok account ships with built-in skills from xAI" (18 May 2026) and no page scopes them to paid plans, so the rule counts them [16].
  • Grok 87 if Grok Bot is not counted as Grok's desktop app (A7 3). The rule names Grok Bot as a counted agent app; xAI's docs FAQ adds that Grok Bot "is not the same as Grok on grok.com" or the mobile apps [20].
  • Grok 83 with both readings: the number our nine-assistant ranking still shows from its earlier check.

One OpenAI conflict is settled by the method rather than a sensitivity line: the plan table lists "Limited image creation" on Free, while learn.chatgpt.com's Work and Codex FAQ says image generation "isn't available on the Free plan"; the plan page decides, as it does for every vendor [2] [3]. The verdict holds on every printed line: ChatGPT leads, 90 to 89, and no line puts Grok ahead of ChatGPT.

Grok vs ChatGPT price: The X Subscription vs ChatGPT plans

Grok and ChatGPT both start at $8 a month; the middle step is $30 for Grok Premium against $20 for ChatGPT Plus, and the top plans run to $200 for Grok and $500 for ChatGPT. Grok's prices exclude tax and its Plus and Premium tiers can be paid yearly; ChatGPT's Go and Plus are monthly only.

Plan ladder in US dollars per month, Grok beside ChatGPT: Free $0 and $0; Grok Plus $8 ($80 a year) and ChatGPT Go $8, which may include ads; Grok Premium $30 with video and ChatGPT Plus $20, monthly only; Grok Super $100 and Ultra $200, ChatGPT Pro $100 to $500. Prices from x.ai/pricing and learn.chatgpt.com, 30 October 2026.
The ladders meet at $8 and part at the middle step: Grok asks $30 and adds video, ChatGPT asks $20.

A year at each step, at list price: Grok Plus costs 12 × $8 = $96 monthly or $80 yearly; ChatGPT Go 12 × $8 = $96; ChatGPT Plus 12 × $20 = $240; Grok Premium 12 × $30 = $360 monthly or $300 yearly. So Grok Plus on yearly billing is the cheapest paid option on this page, $16 a year below ChatGPT Go.

What is SuperGrok, and is it still a plan?

SuperGrok is Grok's older paid plan name. xAI's subscription docs say new self-serve customers "choose from The X Subscription plans" and that existing SuperGrok and X Premium plans continue [14]. The x.ai/grok page still shows a "Get SuperGrok" button, and Microsoft's add-in listing names "SuperGrok, Heavy, Business and Enterprise plans" [15] [22]. New buyers see Free, Plus, Premium, Super and Ultra.

SuperGrok vs ChatGPT Plus

The current Grok tier nearest ChatGPT Plus ($20) is Premium at $30. Premium adds video generation, Grok Bot and "4x more usage compared to Plus"; ChatGPT Plus adds a published 256K reasoning context window, expanded deep research and Codex on desktop, web and mobile [13] [2]. Over a year the gap is $360 − $240 = $120 on monthly billing, or $300 − $240 = $60 if Premium is paid yearly.

Grok free vs SuperGrok, Plus and Premium

Free gives "Limited" chat and images and no video; Plus ($8) adds a shared usage pool with Chat, Voice, Imagine, Build and API access; Premium ($30) gives four times the Plus usage and video [13].

Is Grok free? What Grok Free and ChatGPT Free include

Yes: Grok Free costs $0 and ChatGPT Free costs $0, and on our free-plan rule both score full marks (5 of 5) for search, uploads, images, file creation and app connections, checked on 30 October 2026. The limits differ more than the lists.

Two more points from xAI's legal FAQ: Grok can be used signed out, and "in some regions (excluding the EU/UK)" a signed-out user has no option to opt out of training [19]. Grok is also reachable inside X ("Grok on X") and The X Subscription "brings together Grok, Cursor, and X" [14] [15].

Grok vs ChatGPT for image generation and video

Both assistants document image generation on their free plans; only Grok documents video, from Premium at $30 a month, with "15-second videos" and images "up to 2K resolution". Neither vendor publishes a quality measure, so this page scores access, not results.

Plan stepGrok ImagineChatGPT images

Grok says you can "Restyle, edit, and iterate without leaving the conversation" [15]. For video in the chat today, Grok Premium is the documented route.

Grok vs ChatGPT for coding: Grok Build vs Codex

Both companies ship their own coding agent: xAI's Grok Build is included from Plus at $8, and OpenAI's Codex has "Limited Codex access" even on Free and "Expanded Codex usage" on Plus at $20. Neither page measures code quality.

Grok Build. xAI's docs describe it as "a powerful and extensible coding agent" [20]. The Plus plan lists "Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine, and Build" plus Grok API access and Cursor; Premium adds "Code hosting & AI code reviews" and "Cloud agents & automations" [13]. Third-party models in Cursor are billed separately, per the pricing page.

Codex. OpenAI lists Codex across its plans, with the CLI, IDE extension and cloud named on its pricing documentation; Pro adds "Longer Codex and ChatGPT Work sessions" [2] [3].

Grok searches the web and X live, with "Real-time 𝕏 integration for breaking news and trends"; ChatGPT searches the web on every plan, Free included. For news that breaks on X first, Grok's documented edge is the X feed itself; for broad web research, both cite their sources in the chat.

xAI says Grok "Searches the web and 𝕏 live, so answers always reflect what's happening right now", with "Live citations from primary sources across the web" [15]. OpenAI's Free Tier FAQ says ChatGPT can "Search the web and obtain up-to-date information", and its plan table lists "Limited deep research" on Free and "Expanded deep research" on Plus [4] [2]. A live X feed also brings X's mix of reliable and unreliable posts, so check primary sources before you repeat a claim.

Grok vs ChatGPT for long documents and uploads

ChatGPT publishes its limits and Grok publishes only its upload size: ChatGPT Plus lists a 256K reasoning context window, "~320 pages of text" of input, and 512 MB per file; Grok lists 150 MB per file and no context window for consumers. That difference is the 2-point gap on our long-documents rule.

For a 300-page report, ChatGPT Plus states a limit you can plan around; with Grok, test it first.

Grok vs ChatGPT privacy: training settings and private chats

Grok and ChatGPT both score 4 of 5 on training control: each has an opt-out setting and a chat mode that is never used for training. Grok's switch is "Improve the Model" and its mode is Private Chat; ChatGPT's switch is "Improve the model for everyone" and its mode is Temporary chat.

xAI's legal FAQ carries the date 12 May 2025; OpenAI's data-controls article was updated three days before our check. Re-check both before relying on a setting, and keep confidential material out of any consumer plan unless your employer's policy allows it. Our explainer does ChatGPT train on your data? walks through the ChatGPT settings screen by screen.

Definition What is Private Chat? Private Chat is Grok's conversation mode that xAI says is not used for model training. It is Grok's counterpart to ChatGPT's Temporary chat; both sit beside a separate opt-out switch that covers your ordinary chats.

If your goal is a presentation: Grok vs ChatGPT for slides

On our presentation rules ChatGPT scores 90 and Grok 84, checked on 30 October 2026; the 6-point gap comes from element-level editing (+4) and a language list that names Arabic (+2). We re-applied the rules of our AI presentation tools ranking on 30 October 2026; the numbers here are this page's own.

ChatGPT leads Grok by six points on slides, through element-level edits and a language list; NOXI's reference row leads both on research and languages.

What each assistant documents for slides

ChatGPT. The ChatGPT for PowerPoint add-in works "while preserving editable slide structure" and is "available globally to Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise" users; "Free and Go include limited usage access." [7] For element edits, OpenAI says "select the element, then select Request edits", and you can "Share an example deck with ChatGPT to guide the style" [8]. ChatGPT Slides inside the chat is "available on ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise" and still "rolling out" [8].

Grok. Built-in Skills on every account "Build slide decks from scratch" [16]. xAI calls Grok for PowerPoint "a free Microsoft 365 add-in" (16 June 2026), and its add-in page says "Real, editable slides." [21]; Microsoft's Marketplace listing says the add-in is "currently available to SuperGrok, Heavy, Business and Enterprise plans" [22]. So the add-in is free to install, and Microsoft's listing says it needs a paid Grok plan; whether Plus at $8 unlocks it is not stated, because the listing uses the older plan names. A Google Workspace add-on lets Grok "work directly in Sheets, Slides, and Docs" (24 July 2026) [23]. Grok lists "30+ languages" with no list of which [15], so its language cell scores 3.

Sensitivity on the slide scores

  • Grok 88 if "Grok reads what you point it at" is counted as element-level editing (P2 5).
  • Grok 82 on our 29 October reading, before x.ai/grok's "30+ languages" line was used (P5 2).
  • NOXI 89 for a deck started from an attached file, because research runs by default only on decks started from a prompt (P3 2); 94 without the connector and plugin routes (P7 2).

Where NOXI fits

NOXI's reference row takes full marks on six of the seven rules: an editable .pptx with real text boxes and embedded fonts on the free plan with no watermark; edits to the whole deck, one slide or one selected element by chat, plus Match reference for your own style; web research with a source line on figure slides for decks started from a prompt; PDF, Word, Excel or CSV, PowerPoint and image uploads up to 200 MB; right-to-left Arabic slides; and a free monthly allowance with no card. On where it runs, ChatGPT and Grok lead: both work inside PowerPoint itself, while NOXI runs on the web, inside ChatGPT as a plugin and inside Claude as a custom connector. Our ranking of which AI can make a PowerPoint scores twelve chatbots on these rules, and our ChatGPT vs Copilot comparison puts Copilot in PowerPoint on the same table.

Worked example: one agent, an $8 plan and two decks a month

A buyer who needs X search and two decks a month saves $144 a year against ChatGPT Plus by pairing Grok Plus with a free deck maker, at US list prices checked on 30 October 2026.

Example Diego Ramos is a fictional real-estate agent in Miami. He posts listings on X every day, answers buyer questions from his phone and presents two listing decks a month to sellers. On 1 November 2026 he picks one paid assistant for the next twelve months.

Option12 monthsWhat he gets that matters to himSaving vs ChatGPT Plus
ChatGPT Plus12 × $20 = $240.00256K context, deep research, Codex, ChatGPT Work$0.00
Grok Premium, yearly$300.00Video, 4x the Plus usage, Grok Bot−$60.00
ChatGPT Go12 × $8 = $96.00More messages and uploads; may include ads$144.00
Grok Plus, monthly12 × $8 = $96.00Live X search, Chat, Voice, Imagine, X checkmark$144.00
Grok Plus, yearly$80.00Same as monthly, paid once$160.00

The arithmetic: $240.00 − $96.00 = $144.00 saved on monthly Grok Plus, which is $144.00 ÷ $240.00 = 60.0% less than ChatGPT Plus; on yearly billing $240.00 − $80.00 = $160.00, or 66.7% less. ChatGPT Go costs the same $96.00 a year, so the choice between the two $8 plans comes down to the job: Diego's daily need is breaking news and posts on X, which Grok searches live. Grok's prices exclude tax, so his invoice will be higher by his local sales tax.

The decks are the other half. Diego makes his two listing decks a month in NOXI, which is free with no card and no watermark: each account gets 1,000 credits a month and a full deck uses about 25, so 2 × 25 = 50 credits, or 5% of the allowance. Because he starts each deck from his own listing sheet, NOXI builds from his figures and skips web research by default; research and source lines run on decks started from a prompt alone. He exports an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) for the seller and keeps the share link.

Decision: Grok Plus on monthly billing for the first three months, NOXI for the decks, and ChatGPT Free for occasional questions about a PDF. On 1 February 2027 he re-checks both pricing pages, moves Grok Plus to yearly billing if he keeps it, and saves a further $16.00 a year.

What these rules don't measure

Our seven rules measure documented plans, tools and settings, not how well either assistant answers. Several things buyers care about sit outside them, and on some of them each company has real strengths.

  • Answer accuracy and reasoning. No official page measures it; test both on your own tasks.
  • X-platform data. Grok's live access to X posts and trends is unique to Grok; the score counts web search for both, not the source mix.
  • Content policies. The two companies draw different lines on what they will generate; we don't score policy.
  • Image and video quality. Grok documents 2K images and 15-second video; quality is a matter of taste and prompt, and no page measures it.
  • API prices. Both sell developer APIs priced per token; this page compares consumer plans only.
  • Integrations beyond the six surfaces. Whether an assistant runs in a particular car, TV or device sits outside the surfaces our rule counts.
  • Model benchmarks. They change every few weeks; we leave them to the vendors.
  • Reach. ChatGPT's "more than 1.2 billion" weekly users make shared prompts and team habits easier; xAI publishes no comparable figure [1].

Key terms

Four terms explain most of the price and add-on differences between Grok and ChatGPT in 2026.

Definition What is The X Subscription? The X Subscription is xAI's consumer plan family that "brings together Grok, Cursor, and X": Free ($0), Plus ($8 a month), Premium ($30), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200), before tax, with Teams from $30 per user. It replaced SuperGrok and X Premium for new buyers.
Definition What is SuperGrok? SuperGrok is Grok's earlier paid plan name. Existing subscribers keep it, and some xAI and Microsoft pages still use the name, but new self-serve customers choose from The X Subscription tiers.
Definition What is a custom connector? A custom connector links an AI assistant to an outside service through a server address, usually using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so the assistant can read from or act in that service. Grok offers custom connectors to all users; ChatGPT offers custom MCP servers to Pro users with read/fetch permissions and a plugin directory to everyone.

Build it: a deck from this comparison with the NOXI plugin in ChatGPT

To turn this comparison into a designed deck inside ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar, search for NOXI, select Install plugin, then Connect and sign in to NOXI, and ask @NOXI for the deck. OpenAI says installing or using a plugin depends on your plan, workspace, role and region. The launch post NOXI is now an official ChatGPT plugin explains what the plugin does.

Prompt 1 · A buyer's briefing

@NOXI create a 9-slide briefing for [my team] titled "Grok or ChatGPT for 2027". Compare the plans (Grok Free, Plus $8, Premium $30; ChatGPT Free, Go $8, Plus $20), the seven-rule scores (ChatGPT 90, Grok 89, with the points per rule), where each leads, and a 12-month cost table for [five] options. Write every title as a full-sentence finding and end with the decision, its owner and a review date of [1 February 2027].

Prompt 2 · Add the slide scores

@NOXI in my latest NOXI presentation, add one slide after the score slide titled "For slides, ChatGPT scores 90 and Grok 84". Show the seven presentation rules with their weights (20, 20, 15, 15, 10, 10, 10) and each tool's points: ChatGPT 20, 20, 9, 15, 8, 8, 10; Grok 20, 16, 9, 15, 6, 8, 10. Change nothing else.

Prompt 3 · Change it in the same chat

@NOXI make slide [5] a side-by-side table of the plan ladder, shorten every bullet to under [12] words, then export the deck as a PowerPoint file.

Step 1 — Open Plugins in the ChatGPT sidebar

In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar. OpenAI says "The plugin directory is available across ChatGPT plans."

Step 2 — Search for NOXI and open the listing

Type NOXI in the directory search and open the result named NOXI, AI presentation maker.

Step 3 — Select Install plugin

Select Install plugin. If the button is not shown, your plan, region or administrator settings may limit plugins.

Step 4 — Connect and sign in to NOXI

Select Connect. A NOXI window opens: sign in to your NOXI account, or create a free one, and approve access. No API key or password goes into the chat.

Step 5 — Ask @NOXI for the deck

In any chat, type @NOXI, or select + and choose NOXI, then paste Prompt 1. ChatGPT may ask you to approve the action first.

Step 6 — Get the files back, or keep editing

The result comes back in the chat with slide previews and PowerPoint (.pptx), PDF and HTML files, plus Open in NOXI to edit, present or share. Send Prompts 2 and 3 to change slides in the same chat.

The PowerPoint file has real text boxes and embedded fonts, with no watermark. A deck started from a prompt alone is researched on the web first, and slides with figures carry a source line; check every price against xAI's and OpenAI's pages on the day you present.

Claude users can connect the same NOXI server as a custom connector: in Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, click "+ Add", then "Add custom connector", and enter the address mcp.noxi.ai/mcp from noxi.ai/connect. Claude's help centre notes that free users are limited to one custom connector. If you are comparing deck agents rather than assistants, our list of Genspark alternatives scores twelve on the same presentation rules.

Frequently asked questions

Is Grok better than ChatGPT?
On documented facts checked on 30 October 2026, ChatGPT scores 90 and Grok 89 of 100 on our seven assistant rules. Grok leads on custom connectors for every user; ChatGPT leads on a published context window and a browser extension. Answer quality is not scored, so try both free plans on your own three most common tasks.
Is Grok free?
Yes. Grok Free costs $0 and includes limited chat and Imagine image generation, search, file uploads up to 150 MB, built-in Skills for documents and decks, and custom connectors, per xAI's pages on 30 October 2026. Video generation is not included on Free or Plus; it starts with Premium at $30 a month.
What is SuperGrok and is it still a plan?
SuperGrok is Grok's older paid plan name. On 30 October 2026 xAI's docs say new self-serve customers choose from The X Subscription plans (Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200 a month), while existing SuperGrok and X Premium plans continue. Some xAI and Microsoft pages still show the SuperGrok name.
Grok vs ChatGPT: which is cheaper?
Both start at $8 a month: Grok Plus and ChatGPT Go. Grok Plus also has a yearly price of $80, which makes it the cheapest paid option, $16 a year below ChatGPT Go. At the middle step ChatGPT Plus costs $20 and Grok Premium $30 a month. Grok's prices exclude tax; all prices checked 30 October 2026.
Which is better for coding, Grok or ChatGPT?
Both include a coding agent: xAI's Grok Build comes with Grok Plus at $8 a month together with Cursor, and OpenAI's Codex has limited access on ChatGPT Free and expanded use on Plus at $20, per both pricing pages on 30 October 2026. Neither vendor publishes a code-quality measure, so test both on your own repository.
Which is better for images, Grok or ChatGPT?
Both make images on their free plans with limits. Only Grok documents video, from Premium at $30 a month, with images up to 2K and 15-second videos, and xAI says its images and videos carry a Grok watermark. ChatGPT Plus lists "more complex and accurate image creation". Pages checked 30 October 2026; quality is not scored.
Does Grok train on my chats?
It can by default. xAI's legal FAQ says it may use your content and interactions with Grok to train its models, and you can opt out with the "Improve the Model" setting; Private Chat is not used for training. Signed-out users in some regions outside the EU and UK have no opt-out. Checked 30 October 2026.
Can Grok make a PowerPoint?
Yes. On 30 October 2026 xAI documents built-in Skills that build slide decks on every account, a Grok for PowerPoint add-in that edits slides inside PowerPoint, and a Google Workspace add-on for Slides. On our seven presentation rules Grok scores 84 of 100 and ChatGPT 90, with the gap in element-level editing and a language list.
Is the Grok PowerPoint add-in free?
It is free to install, and Microsoft's listing says it needs a paid Grok plan. xAI called Grok for PowerPoint a free Microsoft 365 add-in on 16 June 2026, while the Marketplace listing, checked 30 October 2026, names SuperGrok, Heavy, Business and Enterprise plans. Whether Grok Plus at $8 qualifies is not stated.
Can I use NOXI inside ChatGPT?
Yes. Since 26 October 2026 NOXI has been listed in ChatGPT's plugin directory: open Plugins in the sidebar, search NOXI, select Install plugin, then Connect and sign in, and ask @NOXI for a deck. The result returns slide previews and PowerPoint, PDF and HTML files in the chat. Availability depends on your plan, workspace, role and region.
