Disclosure: NOXI publishes this page and is one of the tools scored. That's why the rules, weights and the source of every cell are printed, along with where NOXI loses points.
Quick answer: Best AI for financial presentations, checked 29 October 2026: on our seven rules Claude and NOXI both score 94 of 100, and Claude ranks first on the tie-break because Anthropic documents charts that stay chart objects in PowerPoint; NOXI's charts are edited inside NOXI. Plus AI, Genspark and ChatGPT follow with 90.
November is when finance builds the decks that weigh most all year: the budget kickoff, the Q4 forecast, the annual review and the board pack. For them an AI tool is only as useful as three things its pages document: it takes your Excel or CSV, it keeps charts as charts in PowerPoint, and it shows where outside numbers came from. We scored thirteen tools on exactly that. For the decks themselves, see our board meeting presentation guide, the annual plan and budget presentation template and our comparison of AI tools that turn Excel data into PowerPoint.

The top 10 AI tools for financial presentations at a glance
Claude and NOXI share 94, three tools sit at 90, and the chart rule orders each tie. Prices as shown on 29 October 2026.
| # | Tool | Score | Why, in one line | Free plan / entry price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Claude | 94 | Works inside PowerPoint and Excel; charts stay chart objects, per Anthropic. | Free includes Slides; Pro $17 a month billed annually, add-ins from Pro |
| 2 | NOXI | 94 | Excel, CSV, TSV up to 200 MB in; editable .pptx, no watermark; sources on prompt-started decks. | Free: 1,000 credits a month, a deck about 25; no card |
| 3 | Plus AI | 90 | One add-in inside PowerPoint and Google Slides; charts "fully editable" in both. | 7-day trial, then paid; Pro $20 a month billed annually |
| 4 | Genspark | 90 | Verification marks with reference links; PowerPoint add-in for charts. | Free 100 credits a day up to a lifetime allowance, export paid; Plus $19.99 a month billed annually |
| 5 | ChatGPT | 90 | ChatGPT for PowerPoint builds board updates from spreadsheets. | Free and Go: limited use of the add-in |
| 6 | Kimi | 85 | On-slide citations you can trace. | Free monthly credits (amount not stated); Plus $15 a month billed annually |
| 7 | Presentations.AI | 82 | PDF-to-PPT tool rebuilds tables and charts as PowerPoint objects. | Starter $0, 200 credits; Pro $20 a month billed annually |
| 8 | Gamma | 82 | Excel and CSV up to 250 MB; Smart Charts sync from Google Sheets. | 400 one-time credits, badged export; Plus $9 a seat billed annually |
| 9 | Copilot in PowerPoint | 80 | Inside PowerPoint on Windows, Mac and the web. | Microsoft 365 Personal $9.99 a month (en-us), one-month trial |
| 10 | Canva | 79 | CSV or XLSX up to 25 MB into charts. | Free up to 20 AI uses a month; Pro US$144 a year (US view) |
Started from an attached spreadsheet instead of a prompt, NOXI scores 88 and ranks 5th, below the three tools at 90 and above Kimi at 85: research and its source lines are off by default when you attach a file, so its sources rule falls from 5 to 2.
Who should pick what
- If the board re-opens charts in your own PowerPoint template → Claude, because Anthropic's PowerPoint add-in turns bullets into PowerPoint charts you edit directly, "not static images" (Pro and above).
- If you need a designed deck from an Excel or CSV file on a free account → NOXI, because it accepts XLS, XLSX, CSV and TSV up to 200 MB and exports an editable .pptx with no watermark.
- If your team works in both PowerPoint and Google Slides → Plus AI, because one add-in works inside both and its charts are "fully editable in Google Slides and PowerPoint".
- If every external figure needs a checkable reference → Genspark, because it puts a "verification mark on each checked slide with reference links".
- If the board pack runs on waterfalls and Mekkos linked to Excel → thinkcell (77, outside the ten), because it documents "40+ chart types, including waterfalls, Gantts and Mekkos".
- If your company already runs on Microsoft 365 → Copilot in PowerPoint, because it works in PowerPoint for Windows, Mac and the web and builds a chart "based on the spreadsheet" in your files.
Key numbers
How we scored: rubric F, seven rules for finance decks
Rubric F rates each tool 1 to 5 on seven criteria. Five reuse the anchors of our AI presentation tools ranking unchanged; two are new because finance needs them: the spreadsheet going in, and the charts coming out.
| Code | Criterion (weight) | The rule, identical for every tool |
|---|---|---|
| F1 | Editable PowerPoint (20) | 5 = editable .pptx with real text boxes free with no badge, or it edits the PowerPoint or Google Slides file itself; 4 = paid only or badged; 3 = documented differences or editability not stated; 2 = PDF or images; 1 = no file. |
| F2 | Spreadsheet in (15) | 5 = Excel (.xlsx) and CSV accepted to build or fill a deck, with a stated size limit; 4 = both without a limit, or one with a limit; 3 = one without a limit, or the AI works on a spreadsheet open in the same suite; 2 = pasted tables only; 1 = none. |
| F3 | Charts that stay charts in PowerPoint (20) | 5 = the vendor documents chart objects you can edit in the PowerPoint or Google Slides file, on any of its own routes; 4 = charts built from data and editable in the vendor's app, chart objects in the file not documented (or documented as pictures); 3 = charts as images only; 2 = tables only; 1 = none. |
| F4 | Editing depth (15) | 5 = four AI levels: whole deck, one slide, a selected element, your template as style; 4 = three; 3 = two; 2 = one plus manual; 1 = regeneration only. |
| F5 | Sources on numbers (10) | 5 = web research and the source on the slide; 4 = cited research, placement not stated; 3 = citations in the chat or plan only; 2 = grounds on uploads, no sources; 1 = none. |
| F6 | Free plan reality (10) | 5 = free generation and editable export, no card, no watermark, stated monthly allowance; 4 = badged, a one-time pool or no stated allowance; 3 = no free PowerPoint export; 2 = trial only; 1 = none. |
| F7 | Where it runs (10) | 5 = web, inside PowerPoint or Google Slides, and an API, MCP server or connectors; 4 = web plus one of those; 3 = web plus apps; 2 = web only or a single host app. |
F3 exists because finance decks get questioned: a chart that is still a chart can be corrected the night before the meeting, a picture has to be rebuilt.
Every cell, the arithmetic and the tie-breaks
A low rating means "not documented on the pages we opened", not "can't"; "(v)" marks a cautious reading.

| # | Tool | F1 PPTX (20) | F2 Sheet in (15) | F3 Charts (20) | F4 Editing (15) | F5 Sources (10) | F6 Free (10) | F7 Runs (10) | Arithmetic | Total |

Ties, by the printed rule: Claude above NOXI at 94 (F1 5 = 5; F3 5 against 4). Plus AI, Genspark and ChatGPT at 90: F1 level; F3 5, 5 and 4, so ChatGPT is 5th; Plus AI above Genspark on F2 (5 against 3). Presentations.AI above Gamma at 82 on F1 (4 against 3).
Where the gaps come from
- Claude − NOXI = 0: F3 +4 and F7 +2 for Claude (chart objects in PowerPoint; it runs inside PowerPoint and Excel), F5 −4 and F6 −2 (NOXI puts sources on the slide and states a monthly free allowance). Check: 4 + 2 − 4 − 2 = 0.
- NOXI − Plus AI = 4: F5 +4 and F6 +6 for NOXI; F3 −4 and F7 −2. Check: 4 + 6 − 4 − 2 = 4.
Plainly: Claude, Plus AI, Genspark's PowerPoint add-in, Presentations.AI's PDF-to-PPT tool and thinkcell document charts that stay chart objects in PowerPoint; NOXI's charts are built from your data and edited inside NOXI.
How sensitive the order is
Every reading that could move a total:
- NOXI 88 for a deck started from an attached spreadsheet (F5 2): 5th, below the three tools at 90 and above Kimi 85.
- Claude 91 on the older Revision 3 reading (F4 4). Claude's F3 5 rests on the paid add-in (Pro and above); Claude Slides on Free documents export but no chart behaviour.
- Plus AI 81 if only the add-in's own upload counts (F2 2); the spreadsheet, CSV and "Maximum size is 125 MB" evidence is in its Agent and Files API docs.
- Genspark 86 if only the web export counts (F1 4). ChatGPT 86 if the add-in's "chart … capabilities may be limited" is read against F1.
- Kimi 89 if its "fully editable native components" sentence is read as covering the downloaded PPT file (F3 5).
- Presentations.AI 78 if the PDF-to-PPT tool is not read as covering AI-generated decks (F3 4): 10th, below Canva 79. 80 on the FAQ line "Paid plans unlock PowerPoint export" (F6 3).
- Copilot 84 if "Make this a bar chart" on interactive slides or "Transform text on this slide into a chart" is read as chart objects (F3 5), which would put it 7th, above Presentations.AI and Gamma; 77 if workbook grounding is not counted as spreadsheet input (F2 2); 78 without admin connectors (F7 4).
- Canva 73 if only the AI-chart route counts: "No, only CSV files are supported" (F2 3).
- thinkcell 79 (F7 4) / 75 (F7 2) / 73 (F3 4). Beautiful.ai 78 (F3 5). Gemini in Google Slides 75 if Sheets-linked charts count / 59 if only Gemini inside Slides is scored.
Can AI make charts in PowerPoint that stay charts?
Yes, five of the thirteen tools document it: Claude through its PowerPoint add-in, Plus AI, Genspark through its Office add-in, Presentations.AI through its PDF-to-PPT tool, and thinkcell, whose charts keep a linked datasheet. The other eight build charts from your data and let you edit them in their own app.

For a board pack revised three times before the meeting, that difference is hours; for a budget kickoff presented once, it hardly matters.
- Documented as pictures on some routes: Canva's AI charts may arrive as "an image or design elements" rather than a chart you can edit; Copilot's interactive slides appear as "a non-interactive image" on PDF export; NOXI builds charts from your numbers, you edit them in NOXI, and the PowerPoint file carries them as pictures.
- Linked to live data: Google Slides charts inserted "From Sheets" stay linked (a Slides feature, not Gemini); Gamma's Smart Charts sync from a Google Sheet tab; Claude can "update a chart in PowerPoint with the latest figures from Excel".
- thinkcell's charts are thinkcell objects inside PowerPoint with their own datasheet, not PowerPoint's built-in chart type.
1. Claude: 94, first on the chart tie-break
Claude ranks first because Anthropic documents what finance asks for first: charts that stay chart objects in PowerPoint, built from an Excel model.
Claude 94 / 100
PowerPoint (5). Slides "export to PowerPoint and PDF, or go straight to Google Slides as editable files" (Claude Help). Sheet in (5). CSV and XLSX, "500MB per file". Charts (5). Claude for PowerPoint turns bullets into PowerPoint charts you edit directly, "not static images" (Claude for PowerPoint). Editing (5). It can "target individual slides or elements" and uses "existing client or corporate templates". Sources (3). Citations in the chat. Free (4). Free includes Slides; no allowance stated. Runs (5). Inside PowerPoint and Excel (Pro and above), in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides as a public beta on paid plans since 6 October 2026, and through connectors.
Anthropic's cross-app guide is the strongest finance page here: "Pull numbers from an Excel model into a PowerPoint slide", then "Update a chart in PowerPoint with the latest figures from Excel" (work across apps). Claude for Excel adds "S&P Global, LSEG, and Daloopa" connectors with "cell-level citations" (Claude for Excel). Pro is $17 a month billed annually ($200 up front) or $20 monthly. How Claude's built-in skill writes .pptx files is in our guide to the Claude PowerPoint skill.
2. NOXI: 94, second on the tie-break
NOXI scores 94, level with Claude, and ranks second because the tie-break goes to the chart rule: NOXI builds charts from your numbers and you edit them inside NOXI, while Claude documents chart objects in the PowerPoint file. NOXI takes five of the seven rules at full marks.
NOXI 94 / 100
PowerPoint (5). NOXI's own export engine writes real, editable text boxes and embeds the fonts, Arabic included, free and with no watermark; PDF too. Sheet in (5). Create from file accepts Excel (XLS, XLSX, ODS), CSV and TSV, plus PDF, Word, PowerPoint and images, up to 200 MB per file on a free account. Charts (4). Twelve chart types built from your data; you edit the numbers inside NOXI, and in the PowerPoint file the charts arrive as images. Editing (5). Change one slide or the whole deck in plain language, click any element and say what to change, sketch on the slide on desktop, or use Match reference to build in your template's style. Sources (5). A prompt-started deck is researched on the web first, and slides with figures carry a source line. Free (5). 1,000 credits a month, a full deck about 25, no card. Runs (4). On the web, in ChatGPT as a plugin, and in Claude, Cursor or Codex through its MCP connector.
From an attached spreadsheet, research is off by default (the 88 line), which suits budget work: the only numbers on the slides are yours. NOXI is also published in ChatGPT's plugin directory (how NOXI works in ChatGPT). OpenAI says availability depends on your plan, workspace, role and region.
Where others lead: Claude, Plus AI, Copilot, Genspark and ChatGPT work inside PowerPoint itself, and five vendors document chart objects in the file. NOXI is our pick for budget kickoffs, quarterly reviews and narrative decks built from a spreadsheet and handed over as an editable PowerPoint. NOXI adds images where a slide needs one.
3–5. Plus AI, Genspark and ChatGPT: 90 each
Three tools tie at 90 with full marks on editable PowerPoint and editing depth; Plus AI and Genspark document chart objects in PowerPoint, which puts ChatGPT last of the three.
3. Plus AI 90 / 100
PowerPoint (5). "A native add-in for PowerPoint" that works inside PowerPoint and Google Slides (Plus AI). Sheet in (5, v). Its Agent API attaches "spreadsheets" and "CSV exports", "Maximum size is 125 MB" (Plus AI guide). Charts (5). "Turn data into visual insights — fully editable in Google Slides and PowerPoint." Editing (5). One element, one slide or the whole deck. Sources (3). Web search, placement not stated. Free (2). "All paid plans start with a 7-day free trial." Runs (5). Both add-ins, MCP and an API. Pro is $20 a month billed annually, $25 monthly.
The Agent API names a finance job outright: a "monthly board deck" from a board-meeting template with the month's financials attached.
4. Genspark 90 / 100
PowerPoint (5). An Office add-in "on Windows, Mac, or the web" (Genspark add-in). Sheet in (3). "PDF, Word, Excel, PPT"; no CSV, no limit. Charts (5). The add-in inserts PowerPoint charts "built from your data". Editing (5). Any element, the whole deck, or "your existing deck into a reusable Skill". Sources (5). A "verification mark on each checked slide with reference links" (AI Slides help). Free (3). "100 credits per day, up to a lifetime allowance", but "Exporting any format, requires a paid plan." Runs (5). Web, add-ins, MCP. Plus is $24.99 a month, or $19.99 billed annually at $239.99.
5. ChatGPT 90 / 100
PowerPoint (5). ChatGPT for PowerPoint works "while preserving editable slide structure" (OpenAI Help). Sheet in (5). "XLSX, XLS, CSV, TSV", spreadsheets up to "approximately 50 MB". Charts (4). ChatGPT Slides edits "tables, and charts directly in the presentation"; chart objects in the export are not stated, and the add-in's chart "capabilities may be limited". Editing (5). "Select the element, then select Request edits". Sources (3). "Citations where available", in the chat. Free (4). "Free and Go include limited usage access." Runs (5). Web, the PowerPoint add-in, Google Slides through ChatGPT Work.
6–10. Kimi, Presentations.AI, Gamma, Copilot and Canva
The second half scores 79 to 85; each leads on one need, from on-slide citations (Kimi) to a stated free allowance (Canva).
6. Kimi 85 / 100
Editable PPT download, no watermark statement (4, v); Excel and PDF up to 100 MB, no CSV (4); charts as "fully editable native components" without naming the PPT file (4, v; 89 if it counts); edits "any text, image, chart, shape, or slide order" (5); "on-slide citations you can trace" (5); free monthly credits with no amount (4, v); web plus MCP (4) (Kimi Slides). Plus is $15 a month billed annually.
7. Presentations.AI 82 / 100
PowerPoint export on the $0 Starter plan, badge not stated (4); Excel input and CSV via the API, no limit (4); its PDF-to-PPT tool "rebuilds it as native text, tables, and charts" (5) (Presentations.AI FAQ); three AI editing levels (4); research "pulled in as you generate" (3); 200 free credits (4); web and API (4). Pro is $20 a month billed annually.
8. Gamma 82 / 100
"Export Limitations and Visual Differences", badge on Free (3); "Attach your .xlsx or .csv file", "up to 250 MB" (5) (Gamma Help); Smart Charts "link to a Google Sheet tab and sync the data", PPTX keeps "editable tables" (4); element-level edits (5); citations (4); 400 one-time credits (4); web, API, MCP (4). Plus is $9 a seat billed annually, $12 monthly.
9. Microsoft Copilot in PowerPoint 80 / 100
It "generates or edits content directly within PowerPoint" (5) (Microsoft Support); a chart "based on the spreadsheet in my files", no CSV or limit (3); interactive slides from "a snapshot of data from an Excel workbook" become "a non-interactive image" on PDF export (4, v); slide, element and Brand Kit edits (5); cited sources (3); a one-month Microsoft 365 trial (2); PowerPoint on Windows, Mac and the web, with connectors (5). Microsoft's app and agents pages differ on the licence needed: check yours.
10. Canva 79 / 100
PPTX "may look different when opened in Microsoft Powerpoint" (3); "a CSV or XLSX file up to 25MB" into charts, though AI charts take "only CSV" (5, v; the 73 line) (Canva Help); AI may insert "an image or design elements" rather than a chart you can edit (4); three of four AI editing levels, with Brand Kit (4); Web Research (3); "Up to 20 uses" of AI a month on Free (5); web and connectors (4). Pro is US$144 a year (US view).
Is think-cell still the leader for finance charts?
For finance-standard charts linked to Excel, yes on its own documentation: thinkcell (think-cell) offers "40+ chart types, including waterfalls, Gantts and Mekkos" with Excel data-linking. On our AI rules it scores 77, below the ten, because its AI runs only inside the PowerPoint and Excel add-ins (F7 3, v) and its trial "automatically expires after 30 days" (F6 2).
The thinkcell AI Suite launched on 1 October 2026; a finished slide "remains fully editable in PowerPoint" (AI Suite launch). It costs US$46.54 per user a month billed annually, against US$28.60 for the Suite without AI (thinkcell pricing). For waterfall-heavy banking and consulting decks it stays the specialist. Below it come Beautiful.ai (74), which connects "data from CSV, Excel, or Sheets", and Gemini in Google Slides (71), which creates decks "desktop and in English only".
Budget, board and monthly report decks: which documented feature fits which job
Unscored; each feature in the vendor's own wording:
| Job | Documented feature (vendor wording) | Vendor |
|---|---|---|
| Budget deck | "Pull numbers from an Excel model into a PowerPoint slide" | Claude [5] |
| Budget deck | "Excel integration for data-linking and chart creation" | thinkcell [2] |
| Monthly report | Charts inserted "From Sheets" stay linked (a Slides feature) | Google Slides [16] |
| Monthly report | "link a Smart Chart to a Google Sheet tab and sync the data" | Gamma [12] |
| Board pack | A "monthly board deck" from a template plus the month's financials | Plus AI [7] |
| Board pack | "board updates, business reviews, and strategy decks from … spreadsheets" | ChatGPT [9] |
| Investor update | "S&P Global, LSEG, and Daloopa"; "cell-level citations" | Claude for Excel [5] |
| Investor update | "verification mark on each checked slide with reference links" | Genspark [8] |
A budget presentation is the one deck of the season most people outside finance see: keep it to the assumptions, totals by team and what each team must deliver. Our annual plan and budget template has the slide order. For an annual report deck, attach the published report, keep web research off and copy every figure and audited term exactly; the shareholder meeting order is in our annual general meeting presentation guide.
CFO presentation to the board
A CFO presentation to the board of directors is where chart objects matter most, because directors ask for a different cut and the number changes the next morning. Use a tool with F3 5 for those charts (Claude, Plus AI, Genspark's add-in, thinkcell), stay in the company template, and let the AI draft the commentary. The meeting order is in our board meeting presentation guide.
Monthly financial report and financial results presentation
A monthly financial report presentation repeats the same slides with new numbers, so the deciding feature is a data-to-chart link: Google Slides charts from Sheets, Gamma's synced Smart Charts, Claude updating a PowerPoint chart from Excel, or Presentations.AI's Refresh Agent, which "connects a deck to live data sources". A quarterly results deck, built once, can come from any tool in the ten.
Best AI for investor presentations
For an investor update every number must trace to a source, so the deciding rule is F5: Genspark, Kimi and NOXI (on prompt-started decks) place the source on the slide. For investment banking work, Claude for Excel's market-data connectors and thinkcell's Statista and EODHD data are the documented options. Our ranking of twelve chatbots that make PowerPoint scores the general assistants on presentation rules.
A 10-slide financial presentation: the structure finance teams reuse
A financial presentation for management or the board works in ten slides: the result, the drivers, the forecast, the risks and the decision you need. Each title states the finding in a full sentence, and each chart shows one comparison.
| # | Slide | What goes on it | Chart that fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The headline | Period, result in one sentence, the decision you will ask for | None |
| 2 | Results against budget | Revenue, costs, operating profit, margin: actual, budget, last year | Table with variance column |
| 3 | What moved the result | Three to five drivers from budget to actual, in currency | Bridge (waterfall) |
| 4 | Revenue by segment | Segments or customers, share and growth | Sorted bars |
| 5 | Cost and headcount | Cost by team, headcount against plan | Stacked bars or table |
| 6 | Cash and working capital | Cash, receivable days, payable days | Line by month |
| 7 | Forecast for the year | Latest estimate against budget, with its assumptions | Line with budget reference |
| 8 | Risks and sensitivities | Three risks, each with its effect on profit | Table with ranges |
| 9 | Investments and capex | Approved, spent, requested | Table |
| 10 | Decisions requested | Each decision, its cost and its deadline | None |
Paste the ten titles with the spreadsheet rather than asking for "a financial presentation".
Accuracy: bring your own numbers
Two vendors here state that their AI charts may use made-up data when you provide none, so a finance deck should start from your spreadsheet, never from a prompt alone. Canva's help says that without your data, Canva AI "will generate sample data based on your prompt"; Plus AI's charts page says its charts can contain hallucinated data, "especially if there were no specific data points provided" (Plus AI, AI charts). Four checks catch most errors:
- Totals tie.Pass if every total equals the sum of its parts in the file.
- Units and periods labelled.Pass if every number carries its unit (PLN m, %, headcount) and period (FY2026, Q3).
- No figure without a home.Fail on any figure you cannot find in your spreadsheet or on a cited page.
- Percentages recomputed.Pass if each margin and growth rate, recomputed from the slide's own numbers, matches to one decimal.
Confidential numbers: what the vendors' pages say about your data
Budget and board figures are confidential until approved, so read each vendor's data statement and your company's AI policy before uploading. Three vendors state it plainly:
- NOXI: your presentations, prompts and files are not used to train AI models; data is encrypted in transit and at rest; operated from Abu Dhabi.
- thinkcell Assist: data processed "on servers located in the EU", chat content and uploads deleted within 24 hours (Assist manual).
- Kimi: English help says data is "located within mainland China".
Before uploading, remove salary lines, customer names and bank details.
What these rules don't measure
The rules score documentation for building finance decks, not chart craft or data accuracy, and competitors lead on things they leave out.
- Finance-standard charts: thinkcell's "40+ chart types, including waterfalls, Gantts and Mekkos" and its Excel data-linking.
- Finance data connectors: Claude for Excel connects S&P Global, LSEG and Daloopa, with cell-level citations in the workbook.
- Enterprise controls and audit trails: Copilot inside Microsoft 365, Claude's admin deployment.
- Live data refresh: Presentations.AI's Refresh Agent, Gamma's and Canva's Sheets sync, Google Slides charts "From Sheets".
- Data residency: thinkcell Assist processes in the EU; Kimi's English help names mainland China; not a scored rule.
- Accuracy of generated numbers: not scored for anyone; Canva and Plus AI state their AI may generate sample data when none is given.
Worked example: one FP&A manager, a board pack and a budget kickoff
| Option | What it gives her | Arithmetic | Cost a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| thinkcell AI Suite | Finance-standard charts linked to Excel | US$46.54 × 12 | US$558.48 |
| Plus AI Pro | Add-in in PowerPoint and Google Slides | $20 × 12, billed annually | $240 |
| Claude Pro | Charts that stay chart objects, updated from her model | billed up front | $200 |
| NOXI | Kickoff and narrative decks from her spreadsheet, editable .pptx | 5 decks × 25 = 125 credits a year, within 1,000 a month | $0 |
The kickoff deck carries Kestrel's own figures from Marta's spreadsheet. FY2026 forecast landing: revenue PLN 84.0 million, cost of services 63.0, overheads 13.4, operating profit 7.6 (84.0 − 63.0 − 13.4), a 9.0% margin (7.6 ÷ 84.0 = 9.05%). FY2027 budget: revenue PLN 92.4 million (84.0 × 1.07 volume × 1.028 price, +10.0%), cost of services 68.4, overheads 14.4, operating profit 9.6 (92.4 − 68.4 − 14.4), a 10.4% margin (9.6 ÷ 92.4 = 10.39%).
| FY2027 budget line | PLN million | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Operations (fleet and drivers) | 58.6 | 58.6 + 9.8 = 68.4 = cost of services |
| Warehousing | 9.8 | — |
| Sales and customer service | 5.2 | 5.2 + 3.4 + 3.6 + 2.2 = 14.4 = overheads |
| IT | 3.4 | — |
| Finance and HR | 3.6 | — |
| Management and other | 2.2 | — |
| Total costs | 82.8 | 68.4 + 14.4 = 82.8; 92.4 − 82.8 = 9.6 |
| Capex | 6.0 | 4 electric vans 2.4 + racking 1.5 + transport software 1.2 + IT hardware 0.9 |
Headcount rises from 120 to 128 (+6 drivers, +1 warehouse operative, +1 finance data analyst). The risk slide carries three sensitivities: diesel 10% above plan on a PLN 11.0 million fuel budget costs PLN 1.1 million (operating profit 8.5, margin 9.2%); volume 3% below plan loses PLN 2.8 million of revenue and PLN 1.0 million of profit at a 35% contribution margin (8.6 on 89.6, margin 9.6%); wages 2 points above plan on a PLN 34.0 million payroll cost PLN 0.7 million (8.9, margin 9.6%).

Marta's decision: Claude Pro for the monthly board pack ($200 a year), because its charts stay chart objects she updates from the Excel model; NOXI for the budget kickoff and four quarterly narrative decks ($0, about 125 credits over the year). Total $200: US$358.48 less than thinkcell AI Suite (558.48 − 200) and $40 less than Plus AI Pro (240 − 200). Review date: 1 March 2027.
Key terms
Build it in NOXI: a budget kickoff deck from your spreadsheet
To build a finance deck from a spreadsheet in NOXI, attach the Excel or CSV file under Create from file, say what the deck is for, check every figure, edit by chat, and download an editable PowerPoint.
Build a [9]-slide FY[2027] budget kickoff for [all staff of Kestrel Logistics] from the attached spreadsheet: title, where [2026] landed, assumptions, budget by department, headcount, capex, risks and sensitivities, what we need from each team, timeline to approval. Use only the numbers in the file, with units on every figure.
Turn the attached [October] CSV export into a [12]-slide monthly financial report for [the management team]: results against budget, the three biggest variances with one sentence each, cash, and the forecast for the year. Every slide title is a full-sentence finding.
On slide [4], show the department budget as a bar chart sorted from largest to smallest, label each bar in PLN million with one decimal, and add a line under it: "Total costs 82.8; operating profit 9.6".
Step 1 — Prepare the spreadsheet
Put each table on its own tab with a header row, units in the column names and totals already checked. NOXI accepts XLS, XLSX, ODS, CSV and TSV up to 200 MB per file.
Step 2 — Choose Create from file and attach it
On NOXI Home, choose Create from file and attach the spreadsheet; uploading needs a free NOXI account, with no card.
Step 3 — Say what the deck is for
Paste Prompt 1 or Prompt 2 with your own audience, slide count and order. NOXI turns the file into a structured deck with charts built from your numbers.
Step 4 — Check every figure against the file
Research is off by default when you attach a file, so each number should come from your spreadsheet. Run the four checks: totals, units and periods, traceability, recomputed percentages.
Step 5 — Edit by chat or on the slide
Ask for changes to one slide or the whole deck in plain language, click any element and say what to change, or edit a chart's numbers in NOXI, as in Prompt 3.
Step 6 — Export editable PowerPoint or PDF
Download an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) with real text boxes and embedded fonts, or a PDF, free and with no watermark. Charts arrive in PowerPoint as images, so keep the charts the board will re-edit in your chart-object tool.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best AI for financial presentations?
- On seven documented rules checked on 29 October 2026, Claude and NOXI both score 94 of 100, and Claude ranks first on the tie-break because Anthropic documents charts that stay chart objects in PowerPoint. Plus AI, Genspark and ChatGPT score 90, Kimi 85, Presentations.AI and Gamma 82, Copilot 80 and Canva 79.
- Which AI keeps charts editable in PowerPoint?
- On their own pages checked on 29 October 2026, five tools document charts that stay chart objects in the PowerPoint file: Claude through its PowerPoint add-in, Plus AI, Genspark through its Office add-in, Presentations.AI through its PDF-to-PPT tool, and thinkcell, whose charts keep a linked datasheet. NOXI's charts are edited inside NOXI and arrive as images.
- Can ChatGPT make finance slides from Excel?
- Yes. OpenAI's help lists XLSX, XLS, CSV and TSV uploads up to about 50 MB, and ChatGPT for PowerPoint builds board updates and business reviews from spreadsheets. It scores 90 on our seven finance rules (29 October 2026); OpenAI notes the add-in's chart capabilities may be limited, so check charts before you present.
- Can Claude build a board deck from my Excel model?
- Yes, on a paid plan. Anthropic's Claude for PowerPoint and Excel, available from Pro at $17 a month billed annually, can pull numbers from an Excel model into a PowerPoint slide and update a chart from the latest Excel figures. Claude scores 94 and ranks first on our finance rules, checked 29 October 2026.
- Is think-cell's AI included in think-cell?
- Only in the AI plans. thinkcell's pricing page, checked 29 October 2026, lists the Suite at US$28.60 and the AI Suite at US$46.54 per user a month, billed annually; the AI Suite launched on 1 October 2026. On our AI finance rules thinkcell scores 77, just below the top ten.
- Can Copilot turn Excel data into PowerPoint charts?
- Partly. Microsoft documents Copilot in PowerPoint creating a chart based on a spreadsheet in your files and interactive dashboard slides from an Excel snapshot, which become a non-interactive image on PDF export. Copilot in PowerPoint scores 80 on our seven finance rules, checked 29 October 2026; work features depend on your Microsoft 365 licence.
- Is it safe to upload financial data to AI?
- It depends on the vendor's data terms and your company's policy. On 29 October 2026, NOXI's privacy policy says your files are not used to train AI models, thinkcell Assist processes data in the EU and deletes uploads within 24 hours, and Kimi's English help says data sits in mainland China. Remove salaries and customer names first.
- How do I stop AI inventing numbers in a deck?
- Attach your spreadsheet and tell the tool to use only its numbers. Canva and Plus AI both state on their own help pages, checked 29 October 2026, that their AI may generate sample data when none is given. Then check that totals tie, units are labelled, every figure is traceable and percentages recompute.
- Can AI make a budget presentation?
- Yes. Claude, NOXI, ChatGPT, Gamma and Canva all accept Excel or CSV files and build slides from them, per their pages checked on 29 October 2026. Give the tool the slide order (assumptions, budget by team, headcount, capex, risks, deadlines) and your numbers, and check every figure against the file before you present.
- Can NOXI make a deck from my spreadsheet?
- Yes. NOXI's Create from file accepts XLS, XLSX, ODS, CSV and TSV up to 200 MB on a free account, builds a structured deck with charts from your numbers, and exports an editable PowerPoint with no watermark. From an attached spreadsheet it scores 88 on our finance rules (29 October 2026), because research is off by default.
